Eight of us met for dinner. Hot garlic toast is a great starter. Prices are not expensive considering the quality of the food. We have dined here before and have not been disappointed. We had steak, prime rib, and seafood. All were properly prepared and the service was great.

Excellent food, wonderful service! Wish we knew about this gem sooner! My husband had the halibut and it was amazing! I had the blue cheese filet and it melted in your mouth. Can't wait for a return visit! Did I mention the old fashions? :)

My husband and I celebrated our 38th anniversary and his recent kidney replacement with a date; a movie and dinner out. We had never been to Diggers Sting in La Crosse, WI and we wanted to go somewhere a special. When we were young going to a "supper club" was an event to be savored as an occasion with good... More

The BBQ Rib appetizer was fantastic - will definitely be going back to get the Rib meal. Probably the best we have had. Cajun Broiled Scallops - amazing The teriyaki steak was tender and NUM. Seriously - everything down to the steamed vegetables - amazing. It's higher end and it costs on average over $20 for an entrée. But it... More

Diggers Sting is a restaurant we have enjoyed many times but no longer. We went there June 29th and I had the pan fried Walleye. It was the worst fish dinner I have ever had. I have traveled for business for 45 years and have eaten in more restaurants than I can count and this was the worst fish dinner... More

Had the rib-eye and a couple of Manhattans. Wife had scallops. Everything was great. Friend says he ALWAYS gets the special and has never gone wrong.

They could redecorate with new stuff but keep the theme. Food is always good. Love their garlic toast dipped in their ajus from their prime rib sandwich.

After a hectic morning and early afternoon, we went in search of a late lunch downtown. We spotted the sign for Digger Sting and ventured in. It was very quiet as the lunch crowd was gone. There were really only a couple of others at tables, and we opted to just sit at the bar which was empty. Our server/bartender,... More

The first time I went to Digger's I wondered what I had gotten myself into. It is located amidst a string of bars and I thought the food and atmosphere might be like other bars! Boy was I wrong. While there is a bar, there are also nicely appointed tables and seating and their menu has some delightful choices. There... More

My wife and I arrived in La Crosse on the final day of our 9-day road trip vacation, and this place was exactly what we needed - brandy old-fashioneds, prime rib, pan-fried walleye, and a timeless ambience. Even though we arrived at 9pm on a Saturday, there were still many tables enjoying dinner. Our server was running around delivering food... More
