Super excited to listen to live music on the patio last Saturday evening. My wife and I were seated accordingly, ordered a cocktail and pizza. Both Drinks were good (Mules) and the wood fire pizza came out hot and tasty! The issue started soon after...as we seem to be forgotten about. Our waitress (Chloe) seemed to avoid eye contact and we asked twice for another cocktail. We sat for 36 minutes with an empty drink and empty water. Finally had to request check so we could find another establishment to get more cocktails. Disappointing as the music and ambiance seemed inviting. Possibly an oversight but it was not that busy and our server continued to walk by our table oblivious to our empty glasses. The wines looked good and I would have liked to try them all. Mandatory masks on the staff was inviting with continuous cleaning service. Guests wearing masks was about 50% when leaving the tables. May have to give this place another try to see if we nave have just “fell between the cracks”.More

Now that we are in phase 2 of the Covid Lockdown, many restaurants and bars have rushed to open without seemingly any regard to their customers and employees. The Blind Horse, however, has taken a different approach. In that the Covid virus remains a concern,...the Blind Horse management has taken the time to plan a rational means to open so as to ensure the safety of their guests and employees. For example, all staff are required to wear masks, tables on the patio as well as in the restaurant are spaced 6 to 8 feet apart, sanitizers are provided for every table, and the number of guests that can be seated is monitored and controlled. A few tents are available for rent for 2 or more restaurant guests. Of course, the food, staff, and wine are all outstanding. As frequent customers, we applaud the concern for their guests and staff. Kudos to the Blind Horse! Liz Braden and TR FitchMore

Noticed the cute little white tents on the property, checked the website & read that we can rent a dining “villa” for $25. Since our wedding anniversary was later that week, we thought it would be a unique way to celebrate. Stopped in, gave our...info, but received a phone call later that the rental fee would actually be $50! I was told the $25 rental fee only applies to 4 or more guests and that the $50 rental fee would be in ADDITION to the cost of dinner. I applaud the extra sanitation efforts the restaurant is taking, but apparently the cost is being passed on to the consumer. Needless to say, we will be celebrating our anniversary elsewhere.More

We wanted an opportunity to explain the reasoning behind our policy. Currently, we are charging $25 for a 4 or more guests in our outdoor tents and $50 for parties of 2 to rent the tents. The reason for charging is to help pay for...More

The first restaurant I've been to since isolation. We sat on the patio. Great choice. It was a lovely evening, the food was great, the service was stellar. Four of us each had a meal and drink and it cost $107. They cleaned the tables...and chairs after each group finished. Everyone wore masks.More

As usual, we were extremely satisfied with our food, drinks and the outstanding service when we were at the restaurant last Sunday. The day was beautiful and can't wait to get back there soon.

When you have a restaurant, a winery and a casual fare option, you have a winning combination. You have a fine dining option in The Blind Horse restaurant. A true dining experience with elegant ambiance and great service. then there is The Granary, a casual...fare dining with great pizza and a Friday fish fry. Be sure to get the truffle fries, they are delicious. You can even finish the meal with a chocolate fountain!! You can start all of this at The Winery. A true California style winery with lots of great wine and even some drought beer. Enjoy!!More

This is my favorite place for fish fry. The food is always hot, the fish fresh, the fries delish. Decided to try the take out fish fry due to the COVID-19 shut down. Everything was the same as dining in except the fish. It was...not the same fish they usually serve and definitely not the same breading. Not sure why it changed but I will wait until they reopen before I get it again.More

We enjoyed 3-course dinner in the Granary with per-course wine pairings chosen from the varieties produced in their winery. My wife thought her filet was the best she had ever eaten; my blackened salmon was very good too. We plan to attend some of the...special events here during the year.More

My Mom and I came up to Kohler for a few days during the holidays 2018. We at at Blind Horse one night, and wish we could have eaten there every night. *they sadly are not open on Sundays. The service was excellent. The wine...was excellent. The food was excellent. It was one of my favorite nights in Kohler. And we are heading back there again this year for the holidays. Can't wait. It's the best place in all of Kohler, hands down.More

We didn't do the wine tasting, we just asked to sample a couple of merlot's before we bought a bottle. It was great and I really was happy I was able to sample first.

EmAnn, I was just curious where you sat when you were at The Blind Horse? My wife and I were there with another couple and had just a fantastic time. Granted it is tight seating but what do you expect on Valentine's Day in a old rustic farm house, turned restaurant, stuck out in the woods? I'm not sure the place can even sit 60 but I think there had to have been at least twice that for dinner. The food was, and always has been for us, just like it has always been, very good. Unpalatable is pretty strong wouldn't you say? Not sure I would stack this place side by side to McDonalds, just saying. I almost question your desert comment... yes, I'm sure they probably were premade but I saw table after table finishing every plate. Besides it was in little crispy pastry shells. Unless something was spilled on your desert I'm not sure how it could have been soggy. Just wanted to give some balance to the night. Interested why you didn't review this place after the first time you went and "loved it"?
