This is an unusual restaurNt. It is a converted train car. The food is very good and the Tmosphere is fun. Some of the wait staff are hilarious. The hours are limited to breakfast and lunch, till 2 pm. Their famous meal is the garbage plate. You get to choose the ingredients from meats, cheeses, veggies, in an omelet style.... More

Frank's Diner is a Kenosha landmark. Frank's serves good all-American comfort food. Arrive early on Sunday morning, if you want a seat! Otherwise, expect a long wait.

I'm a fan of characters. People and places. And Franks Diner has plenty of both. In spite of its small size (the majority of the place was once a trains dining car) and in spite of the fact that everyone is in everyone else's way and in spite of the fact that the demand on the kitchen appears overwhelming, they... We were excited to get to eat at this landmark diner! There was no waiting and the staff was very friendly and eager to help. The old streetcar was nostalgic and unique. Loved all the old décor. Our breakfasts were large and tasty!!! For sure a place we would recommend and try again if we're ever in Kenosha. So nice... More

IT'S NOT A FRANCHISE PEOPLE! If you want to experience speed and tiny portions with a calorie count, look for golden arches! This place delivers exactly what it promises and does so with character. Kevin, Ashley and Josh delighted us with pleasant conversation after serving us some spectacular food! My wife and I watched as they worked and compared their... More

On our way to Lake Geneva, we stopped here for the recommended "garbage" breakfast served in this 1926 diner. What a treat! Heather took care of us as we sat at the counter and watched the line of people grow longer behind us waiting for tables. With hot coffee, we feasted on a homemade cinnamon roll with cream cheese glaze,... More

What a difference in restaurants from morning to night. Blue jeans and work shirts in the morning and suits and ties in the evening. Frank's in the morning and Capital Grill, Milwaukee, in the evening. They have things in common, great food and good service. Look for our experience at Capital Grill to be posted later. As usual we had... More

The food was fine, the train car was adorable, but the bustle and wait makes it my first and last stop. We uncomfortably sat at the bar and were elbowed and belly-swiped by those passing behind us. My omelet was great, the home-made bread could have used some salt, but it was crunchy and good. Bacon was delicious. My mouth... More

For me, this is the best place to eat in Kenosha. Amazing staff. Try the garbage. It's impossible stop eating that. Very nice space and good coffee. I'll be back for sure!!!
