We dine at Casa Capri quite often as the pizza is one of my favorites in Kenosha. This time I decided to step outside of my comfort zone with regards to Kenosha. I tend not to order seafood here, with the exception of a few higher end restaurants, as I lived in the Florida and the South for 20+ years and became spoiled with the fresh seafood. Nevertheless, the waitress was quite adamant about the walleye dish, and I succumbed. I am pleased that I did so, as the fish was fresh, mild and prepared very well. The flavors were excellent. The asparagus side was cooked to perfection and my substitution of pasta rather than potatoes perfected the dish. I am pleasantly surprised and will order this dish again.

Went there this week to celebrate my wife's birthday. It's been one of our favorite places in kenosha for a while, but this was a disappointment. The chicken cacciatore and steak were good, but the halibut was salty and just not good. But the the biggest problem was the service. It took waaaay too long to receive our food. We kept looking around for our waitress. Finally we signaled her and she came over and revealed that the kitchen was overwhelmed by a large party (but no apology). So, too bad you came on a night where a party takes precedence over everyone else. Well, if you can't host a party and provide your regular customers with a normal and good level of service, then you shouldn't try to do both and insult your customers with your bad service and no apology. What a letdown.

We have been coming to Casa Capri for 40 years, but living 2000 miles away, hadn't been there in decades. The pizza is EXACTLY as I remember- Thin, crispy crust, the perfect amount of toppings and a tangy zesty sauce. We also had the favorite, “stuffed rigatoni’s “ these are served baked in a crock with an abundance of cheese, sauce and sliced pepperoni. In traditional “Supper Club” style, you start at the bar, when your table is ready, they come get you. The owner, “Hondo” (co-owned with his sister, Anna) told us the pasta is still made the same way- by little Italian women that come in the mornings and prepare the pastas from Old World recipes. If you have an opportunity to visit Kenosha, the “City on the Lake”, make sure you put Casa Capri on your list of “Must do’s”. You won’t be disappointed.

On May 11,2022 my nephew came to town and wanted to meet up for a family visit and some great food. Of course they fit us in at Casa Capri. Our food was on point, as always, hot and delicious with excellent service.
I have been back since with my son and his family and friends and it was equally delish. Hondo and Anna stop and nothing to make your experience memorable and if you leave without taking leftovers it’s because you ate everything in your plate, a difficult feat. Thanks for always accommodating us and all of the love and effort you put into every experience.

We arrived at Stella’ Casa Capri to find a packed parking lot at 5:30 p.m. We were surprised. We walked into a lively crowd and were greeted warmly by the hostess, even without a reservation. Literally waited two minutes for a private booth in the cozy Italian dining room.
We checked out the appetizer offerings and we were shocked we had never heard of hot scungilli. Our genial waitress raved about it so we were stunned when we began tasting this sublime dish!
We split the restaurant recommendation and local favorite, veal saltimbocca. We were flabbergasted with the tender piece and sauce.
We could not and did not order dessert, we could only handle so much astonishment!
We highly recommend Stella’s Casa Capri for food quality, service and atmosphere. An Amazing Italian restaurant!

Casa Capri serves up a good thin-crust pizza that is a favorite in Kenosha, and I have to agree it's been very good nearly every time I have had it over the past 10-15 years. The pizza is not the issue here. The issue is the price point of their dinners and the quality of the food are way off. I went on a Thursday night, around 6 pm - the place was dead. Maybe 10 people at the bar drinking/eating. the dining room empty, and only one party on the outside patio where I sat.
Like some of the other reviews here, the pasta served in oil and garlic is literally swimming in oil and way over-garlicy. There is little to no finesse in this kitchen. Did not receive any bread/butter/olive oil as is customary. The water glass was plastic. Then I looked at the prices - ridiculously high. A plate of spaghetti is around $18.00. Their menu boasts a spaghettini with olive oil and anchovies - $24.95. Seriously? These dishes cost under $3.00 to make at home. The mark up on pasta is just insane here.
So I ordered one of the least expensive items on the menu - a Caesar salad with dressing on the side. It was a bed of romaine with store-bought croutons. The dressing on the side arrived in three "to-go" plastic containers. I will say, the greens were fresh and the dressing was not out of a jar, so I give them credit. But it didn't have much flavor. Typically a Caesar salad has shredded cheese also, but not so with this one. Probably for the better, it would have been Sargento shredded or something like that.
Casa Capri is overpriced and underwhelming. They are basically a pizzeria that never learned how to be a decent restaurant in a town filled with Italians. It's no wonder the place is empty. Stick with the pizza, skip the rest of the menu.

We were collectively horrified by the harmful treatment of all staff: the two waitresses and owner.
I was with my nephew and his wife who have frequented this restaurant on many occasions. At least five times he ordered the "King" filet mignon. In my 60 years i have ordered filers too many times to recount. What they brought to us was no larger than an 8 ounce.
When i brought it up to our waitress she snapped at me and insisted that it was the 12 ounce. Then she said the steaks are determined by length and depth. I tried to reason with her by insisting that in my whole life, no restaurant justified the size of their steaks by this metric.
At standstill, i recommended she weigh the steak. If it was 10 ounces (2 ounces less because of the o25% standard for loss of weight for cooking), i would concede my position. She refused. I then asked to speak to a manager. Instead she sent over another waitress.
I said more or less the same thing in a calm but stern voice. She also snapped at me and repeated the same "length and depth" response. Frustrated, i asked her to take the steak bad to weigh it. She responded accused me of being inappropriately angry, grabbed the dish, and walked away.
Then the owner/cook came out and asked "what was the problem?" I went through the same questions and explanations. When i calmly asked - now three times - to settle the matter by weighing it, he said the steak will be removed from the bill and angrily and abruptly walked away.
We left with my nephew not getting his meal.
We left the restaurant feeling bullied. The bottom line was they tried to gaslight us into believing we were the problem while holding onto to the above mentioned ridiculous, manipulative and dishonest position regarding the steak.
We left feeling bullied and a bit traumatized.

I visited Sat. 11/6 at aprox. 4:15PM. The restaurant had only one other table filled. There was plenty of staff at the hostess area. I told the hostess I was a party of one. She said she could seat me in a booth but I would have to be out by 5:30. I did not even ask for a booth. I told her a small table would be fine. I sat and sat until I asked the employees at the hostess stand "do I have a server"? They went and told my server in the kitchen. The server came caring a basket of bread and butter. I said "I do not need any bread". She took my order. I was hungry so I asked her for the bread basket back before she even made it back to the kitchen with it. I hear my waitress telling another table about he "Specials Of The Day". I did not get told the "Specials". I asked my waitress "what are the Specials"? She then told me; it would have been helpful if I would have known this BEFORE I ORDERED. The onion soup was EXTREMELY SALTY and the croutons EXTREMELY oily. They have had onion soup through COVID. They used to make flavorful in-house made soups. Now with the onion soup they are charging a $2.00 up charge for cheese on that soup. I ordered an appetizer of breaded cauliflower. Their basic appetizers cost $9.95. My order came it was a dinner plate with a single layer, half full on the plate. The other half was a small dish of marinara sauce. What a VERY SMALL amount of cauliflower for the price charged. Only enough for one. My entree of Chicken Casa Capri was a dinner plate of 3 chicken breast pieces on top of some spaghetti. The amount of spaghetti WAS SMALL. I got THREE SMALL BLACK (MY NO MEANS "FRESH " MUSHROOMS CUT IN HALF and VERY LITTLE ONION. I COULD NOT TASTE THE WHITE WINE JUST OLIVE OIL. The dish was VERY OILY OLIVE OIL WAS "FLOATING ALL OVER THE INSIDE EDGE OF THE PLATE". The service, food and serving size was VERY POOR. This entree cost $24.95. I left a bigger tip than I should have; the waitress NEVER ASKED ME how my dinner was. Not the same Casa Capri that I have been patronizing for 45 years.

Everytime I order food from Casa Capri I order the same thing. Chicken Casa Capri.
I love, love love this dish but it has changed.
The chicken is not pounded as thin as it used to be. The amount of onions and mushrooms has decreased. The few mushroom pieces I did get WERE BLACK "OLD" NOT FRESH MUSHROOMS. The menu states made with "fresh mushrooms" these were by no means fresh MUSHROOMS. I purchase grocery store and mushrooms farm (River Valley Ranch) mushroom weekly. The price of this entree has gone up. I remember purchasing this for $14.95 and not so so long ago $19.95 now it is $21.95. I was very disappointed with the amount of sliced onion and mushrooms that was in the dish. This meal was VERY DISAPPOINTING. I want "my favorite" Chicken Casa Capri" back.

In Kenosha there is no better pizza, period !!!
Another family owned Italian restaurant that has been around for ages. Old family recipes still being served at CASA. Nothing like a nice hot pizza and a cold Miller Lite served at the bar....Finish it off with an Old Fashion.....Or, try the stuffed rigatoni’s, mmmmmm Nothing fiber.....

We went with a group of friends from church on a Friday night. First off, we were not given menus, and had to ask for them twice. When others of our group arrived, they also were not given menus, so we passed ours along. The prices listed on line were several dollars lower than those listed in the menu, and the prices were HIGH. Maybe over $20 for a simple pasta dish or $12 for a glass of "jug" wine is acceptable in New York, but not in this part of the country. I was ready to settle for a salad until I found the fish fry special. At just under $13, it was one of the least expensive items on the menu, but high compared to the usual in this area. The fish WAS good, so I'm happy I ordered it. My husband ordered a pasta combo. It had a ravioli, a stuffed pasta shell, some gnocchi, and a few things I couldn't identify. When it came, it wasn't hot. What's worse, it was nearly tasteless. The pasta was firmer than al dente and dribbled with a red sauce. The fillings were blah, cheese rubbery, and even large amounts of parmesan didn't help. It was extremely disappointing. We will not be going there again.

Decided to meet friends for a few drinks and dinner on a Friday evening. In hope of beating the rush, we made reservations for the 4 of us for 5:30. We figured to meet at the bar at 5:00 and have a few drinks before dinner. Well, when we walked in the place was dead. Walked into the bar and was told by the bartender that the bar and all tables in the bar area were reserved. As he stood there all by himself. All the tables and up and down the bar had "reserved" signs on them. So I asked if we buy drinks, where will we be able to sit and have our drinks. He pointed to the entrance and said there was a tiny couch by the coat rack! Boy, I'm already thrilled with this place. So we decided to go ask the hostess if we could get our table early. After scowling and shuffling, she finally seated us. The waitress came, and we explained about the bar. She said no problem, have drinks at her table, no rush. If it hadn't been for her, I would have given the place only one star. She saved the evening for us with her great service. When the food came, it was very bland. They give you good portions, but if it doesn't taste good, what's the use? Half way through dinner I went to the restroom. Low and behold, the bar was still empty except for 2 people. Finished our dinner, and asked the hostess why the reserve signs in the bar. I thought maybe a Christmas party or such. She told us that was for the "regulars" that come for the fish fry. On the way out, still only 2 people at the bar. Guess what Casa Capri, we'll never be "regulars"!! Take your dinner money and go elsewhere, that's willing to treat you like a customer.
