Quick summary: wide menu of sandwiches, soups, salads, stir frys, steak and chicken, liver, and other mains. Deep breakfast menu. Friendly, professional service. Moderate prices.
I was taken to lunch here for professional reasons, and was very impressed. The wide menu had sandwiches, soups, salads,...and mains. My colleague and I had the gyros, which comes with a cup (your choice) of the excellent homemade soup, chips and pickle ($8.29 for a real mountain of tasty meat in the pita. You can also get is as a platter served with soup and Greek salad for $11.29.)
Since much of our lunch talked business, I did not get a great chance to study prices, but my general impression is very moderate and good value. The basic burger with chips and soup is $5.79. Most food was under $10, and almost everything is under $20, including the 1/2 roast chicken with soup or salad, potato/rice, veg, and bread for $9.29. The New York steak au jus with sauteed mushrooms or onion rings, seemed to top the price list at $15.99.
Deep dessert menu with homemade pies starring, but cakes, etc. too.
The food around us looked good -- burgers, fried fish, etc. A colleague who goes here a lot of breakfast said good things about the omelets (in the $7 range with American fries or hash browns and choice of pancakes or toast. Extensive breakfast menu includes seemingly everything -- eggs, waffles, crepes, croissants, etc.
No bar or bar menu that I can see.
Friendly, professional, attentive service, even though the place was pretty busy.
So - now that I know this place, I'll be happy to return.More
