Not a lot of pretensions here..but it is more than it seems to be, We walked in to the restaurant after a longish drive in the country to this small resort. Friends had highly recommended it, so we went with high expectations. For the most...part it was worth the trip, and we will go back. Our party of five ordered a variety of entrees, and all gave the meal high grades. The barbecue ribs were excellent, as was the fish platter that two of us ordered. The chicken was slightly overcooked, but that was better than the alternative. Their California burger was simply outstanding, as was the steak.The sides were tasty and generously sized. The bar was well stocked. The prices were reasonable and the service was very good.
The only potential downer we could seen was the furniture. It is rustic and massive, with some of the tables quite tall for a good view of the surrounding natural beauty. But older diners or people with short legs or weak frames may find it difficult to get in and out of the seating. The food makes the effort worthwhile.More
