Even though it's right on the Main Street it can be easily overlooked. (Finding street parking can also be a bit tricky, but there is public parking and a more noticeable entrance in the back.) Located in the basement of what looks like an office building this hidden gem offers some of the best German food you can find. Both... More

Winzer Strube is definitely a unique location. Want to eat underground while listening to a guy sing and play the accordion while wearing a lederhosen? How oddly specific of you, but man, this is the place for you! The walls are covered in postcards from all over the world, the menus are little scrolls, there are German books on the... More

I am from Germany and this place is amazing. We used to eat at Glockenspiel in St. Paul, MN until it closed. First time eating here and it floored us with how great it was. Nice atmosphere, good service and great value for the amazing quality.

Hearty meals, great German beer and maybe a German-speaking waitress! Reasonable prices, excellent food.

Our group of eight popped into this place after the Nova Beer Cave Festival in April. Not one of us had ever been here. We had a riot! The place was packed and full of people enjoying meals and having fun. A musician with an accordian was traipsing around brewing up fun from table to table. We ordered almost one... More

Winzer Stube is a perennial favorite. It is located on the basement of the old opera house in downtown Hudson. Excellent food, fair prices, good beer selection, save room for desert. We like to order their platter- enough food for two and lunch the next day! Schnitzel is excellent. The apple strudel is worth the wait. You will not be... More

Nothing says Luvin' like German cooking. Consistently written up as best German food in the twin cities. Some even say in the entire country. The critics got it right this time around. If you love German food go here. If you don't usually eat German food go here, you'll be hooked.

Good German food, very quiet. It was unique, not much privacy. The soups are all very good. We had the sausage plate combination.

I had the best pretzel ever at Winzer, the waitress was very nice and the jagerschnitzel was delicious. I think is the close you can get to a genuine German food in town.

My husband and I and another couple went here for an early dinner. It was 15 minutes before the luncheon menu ended. They did let me order off the luncheon menu as I was not hungry enough for a dinner portion. My husband ordered the pork chops and I ordered the liver. A treat for me as I never make... More
