Brought a group to eat before a race. Got a reservation at 6:30. Did not get our food until 8:15 (pasta, salad, and sandwiches). We were tired of waiting so we asked for the meals to come out as they are done. The food came...out a few minutes later, but the little kids’ meals came out last. Pasta was not cooked, brisket was not smoked (like the menu said), and Reuben was roast beef instead of corned beef. We asked for pitchers of water and got one for 21 of us. Someone at our table kept getting more water at the bar, instead of the wait staff. There were not many people there, which should have told us about the place. No one around us had food. Sad when there are not many places around and the town is booked with reservations. We will try a different place tomorrow.More

The place has a cabin feel from the outside but white tablecloths on the inside. We were wanting Prime Rib, but it was not listed on menu, but we found out on leaving it was the special that night. They could have done a better...job letting customers know. The prices were a little high, but the way things are, maybe the new norm. Salad was grate, Stakes were cooked right but the char was a little thick for our taste. Drinks were made great. Time waiting was appropriate, good wait staff. cheesecake was very good.More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our steak dinners. The staff was extremely polite and efficient considering many places are short staffed right now. The bacon wrapped scallops were delicious. We’ll be back again.

We ordered ribeye medium, salmon, fillet, and a fish fry. Everything except the fish came out cold, not just cool they were cold. Fish fry was hot. They called the cops because we didn’t think we should have to pay for underdone and very cold...food. We almost went to jail because that is their policy. We live in the neighborhood and I never thought this would happen. Very disappointedMore

We had our daughters wedding reception at the Steakhouse Loge and it was amazing. Peggy is a tremendous leader and the staff was fantastic. The food was excellent and the service was top notch.

Dinner here in a Thursday evening. Ordered the black and blue tenderloin. Topping was runny blue cheese dressing. Don’t spend the extra $2 for the blue. Steak was good otherwise. Twice baked potatoes ok. Others had the French onion soup. Said it was ok.

Just getting into town, my son and and I were able to walk to The Steakhouse from the Flat Creek Lodge for dinner. Even though we are still in the midst of covid and the lack if finding employees the service at the Steakhouse was...awesome. The staff was very friendly and the food was awesome.More

Went there to celebrate our friends anniversary and Father’s Day. Very very disappointed! Our New York strips had a huge sinew going through it. I had spit out my first three pieces because there was no way I could chew it. Owner said that was...normal. She offered to make new steak. By then everyone was almost done eating. Not real apologetic at all. This is a beautiful place but do not go there until they have more staff. Not once did the waitress come back to do refills on pop! The staff was over worked. Possibly they should not take so many reservations if they can’t handle it! Our waitress was not real friendly. Did a okay job but didn’t go out of her way to be friendly. Then you are charged 3 % to use your card on a hundred dollar bill. Do not use the prices on internet because they are not right.More

Wow this place is great! We ate in the bar, but the dining room is incredible, large, white table cloths, nice decor. This was the only place my Husband could get Blue Gills and me Lobster and they were both above and beyond what we...expected! I made my Husband order Blue Gills to go so he could have them for breakfast on his Birthday! He said they were just as good then. The waitress was awesome too! I would make a trip just to eat here again!More

It was quite nice to enjoy taking mom out to Mother's Day Brunch since previous Covid restrictions would not allow a buffet style meal. The menu included beef tenderloin, chicken butternut squash ravioli (this was amazing!) and shrimp scampi. There were a variety of side...dishes and several homemade desserts. Macaroni and cheese was available for children under 10. We enjoyed the included mimosa with our food; however two people thought the bloody mary's could have been better. Enjoyed being "back at a buffet" . Service was adequate and owner was friendly.More

Well room was adequate service with the housekeeping skunk no TV service you had to have Roku or you had to have Netflix in order to use the TV no cable television. $100 a night no amenities no breakfast no extras Restaurant closed for a...wedding also the bar very Pricey .More

We were visiting Hayward for a few days and were in the mood for a nice dinner. We chose The Steakhouse based on good TripAdvisor reviews. We were so disappointed. The steak, which resembled a filet tenderloin sure didn’t taste like one. The meat was...overcooked and tough. The flavor was lacking as well. Surely not a $40 piece of meat. More like a $20 steak at Applebee’s. The pasta also had a very overwhelming flavor....garlic for sure (that’s a given) but some other herb looked like someone accidentally spilled too much into the dish. The flavor was awful and made the dish inedible. Another person in our part of 4 had a steakhouse burger which had an unnatural overpowering taste of garlic powder. Again inedible. To add insult to injury, the service was horrible. We were never asked how our meals were by anyone, and once finished we just wanted to get out of there but waited and waited and waited for the bill. Eventually we just had to go to the register and pay without the check in hand. A horrible experience all the way around. We could have done better at the cabin for a quarter of the cost. What a waste.More
