I was dying for a good steak and this place delivered! Large, open, comfortable dining room. Service was efficient and very friendly. All the food was very good! I had the bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer-delicious. Choice of soup or salad before the entrees. My wife’s fettuccine Alfredo was excellent, and my 16 ounce ribeye was cooked perfectly and very tasty.

It was quite nice to enjoy taking mom out to Mother's Day Brunch since previous Covid restrictions would not allow a buffet style meal. The menu included beef tenderloin, chicken butternut squash ravioli (this was amazing!) and shrimp scampi. There were a variety of side dishes and several homemade desserts. Macaroni and cheese was available for children under 10. We enjoyed the included mimosa with our food; however two people thought the bloody mary's could have been better. Enjoyed being "back at a buffet" . Service was adequate and owner was friendly.

The place has a cabin feel from the outside but white tablecloths on the inside. We were wanting Prime Rib, but it was not listed on menu, but we found out on leaving it was the special that night. They could have done a better job letting customers know. The prices were a little high, but the way things are, maybe the new norm. Salad was grate, Stakes were cooked right but the char was a little thick for our taste. Drinks were made great. Time waiting was appropriate, good wait staff. cheesecake was very good.

6 weeks prior to dinner we made reservations for a group of 23.
Seated at 6 o’clock.
One waitress for our table.
She was also serving another table as well.
Slow to get our drink order.
Slow to take our food order.
A basket of rolls came out. Between 1 hour to 1 1/2 hrs of arrival, our table of people started to get up/stand or walk around. When we were able to catch our waitress, we all started to ask for more rolls.
At 8:00, food for some started to appear from the kitchen. Mine was at 8:10, my husbands was at 8:18. My food was served luke warm at best. At this point, I was hungry and just ate it.
3 orders that I knew of had incorrect items. When asked to have the potato switched to what he ordered, he said, “We’ve been waiting 2 hours to get our food, how long will it take to get the potatoes I ordered.”
The mature woman that he spoke with replied, “2 HOURS!”.
Not sure if she was the owner.
I didn’t see her waiting other tables.
No smile like she was kidding, just seemed sassy to those who heard her.
Sure we had a large group but they do handle weddings there.
Could have offered some apologies for the delay and maybe keep the dinner rolls coming.
One drink order never came, but our waitress did offer to get the forgotten drink without a charge.
A 20% tip is automatically put on bill. I get that. But it seems like they know they’ve already earned that tip and don’t push to make things right. They just lost 23 returning customers that night.

What a find! We hadn’t eaten since breakfast and now it’s 5 pm and the hubs found this gem. The customer service was beyond reproach. The server, bartender and hostess were so friendly.
The food was FABULOUS and plentiful. They do not skimp on portion size. I got a 1/2 rack of ribs which I could only eat 2 of the meaty fall off the bone goodness. The hubs had a ginormous burger and he too was only able to eat half.
Give them a try if you find yourself in Hayward WY.

Brought a group to eat before a race. Got a reservation at 6:30. Did not get our food until 8:15 (pasta, salad, and sandwiches). We were tired of waiting so we asked for the meals to come out as they are done. The food came out a few minutes later, but the little kids’ meals came out last. Pasta was not cooked, brisket was not smoked (like the menu said), and Reuben was roast beef instead of corned beef. We asked for pitchers of water and got one for 21 of us. Someone at our table kept getting more water at the bar, instead of the wait staff.
There were not many people there, which should have told us about the place. No one around us had food. Sad when there are not many places around and the town is booked with reservations. We will try a different place tomorrow.

Went there to celebrate our friends anniversary and Father’s Day. Very very disappointed!
Our New York strips had a huge sinew going through it. I had spit out my first three pieces because there was no way I could chew it. Owner said that was normal. She offered to make new steak. By then everyone was almost done eating. Not real apologetic at all.
This is a beautiful place but do not go there until they have more staff.
Not once did the waitress come back to do refills on pop!
The staff was over worked. Possibly they should not take so many reservations if they can’t handle it! Our waitress was not real friendly. Did a okay job but didn’t go out of her way to be friendly.
Then you are charged 3 % to use your card on a hundred dollar bill.
Do not use the prices on internet because they are not right.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our steak dinners. The staff was extremely polite and efficient considering many places are short staffed right now. The bacon wrapped scallops were delicious. We’ll be back again.

What a waste of money. Institutional food at it's worst. Corn...overcooked and mushy. Generic rolls. Watery Gravy. Immediately flooded the plate. Prepackaged Turkey slices, just heat and served. None of the food had any flavor. Not even going to come back to retry this place. No wonder they're rated so low.

Everyone at our table of eight ordered a steak dinner. Food was very under cooked. No one connected to the restaurant seemed to care. No one at our table finished their meal. If it wasn't for the salad and bread we all would have left hungry. Could not recommend this place.

My colleague and I were staying in Hayward for a conference and needed something substantial to eat after a long travel day. We wanted something nice but not super fancy as were were exhausted.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, as was the staff. We sat in the bar which was cozy and quiet.
We had appetizers, salads, and steak. Not high end steakhouse but good quality and easy to relax

Wow this place is great! We ate in the bar, but the dining room is incredible, large, white table cloths, nice decor. This was the only place my Husband could get Blue Gills and me Lobster and they were both above and beyond what we expected! I made my Husband order Blue Gills to go so he could have them for breakfast on his Birthday! He said they were just as good then. The waitress was awesome too! I would make a trip just to eat here again!

Dinner here in a Thursday evening. Ordered the black and blue tenderloin. Topping was runny blue cheese dressing. Don’t spend the extra $2 for the blue. Steak was good otherwise.
Twice baked potatoes ok. Others had the French onion soup. Said it was ok.

Poor experience. So I ordered the steak burger medium. I saw the waitress bringing it and it was black. Yep beyond well done, it was awful. When I said something all she did was say sorry. Never going back, and I live there.

Just getting into town, my son and and I were able to walk to The Steakhouse from the Flat Creek Lodge for dinner. Even though we are still in the midst of covid and the lack if finding employees the service at the Steakhouse was awesome. The staff was very friendly and the food was awesome.
