The Northwoods of Hayward, Wisconsin is one of the most productive cranberry regions and perfect for growing some of the sweetest apples, juicy strawberries, and forest fruits like plump blueberries, delicious raspberries, and jammy blackberries. We came here on Valentine's day for dinner. Everything was perfect as usual. We ordered the special which included salad,wine, pizza and a huge slice of red velvet cake which was delicious. Thanks to Ken and Noreen for a great evening.

Tamarack Farms is a family favorite when we’re in Hayward. In all my years I have had a lot of ribs, however, the barbecue at Tamarack Farms is the best I’ve ever had. The service is amazing and the relaxed atmosphere brings me back to having dinner with friends and family on the back patio at the farm. We highly recommend this little gem

Really enjoyed our meal and experience. The restaurant was busy and understaffed but the man at the counter kept everyone informed as to what was happening and what they were doing to make it work. In between advising those in line he was clearing tables and then seating people. Our kudos went out to him. I saw no one leave the line nor heard anyone complain.
After being seated our orders were promptly take. Chicken wings salads and drinks came quickly and all were very good. Ribs and pizzas came in a timely manner after first course was done.
Ribs were served plated and beautifully sliced. The ribs were tasty and meaty but could have been a bit more tender. Enjoyed the sides also
Pizzas were unique. Nicely presented with good flavor

Table wasn’t served all meals at the same time, missed many parts of the order, corn bread, beans, full size salad, full brisket order, never removed one dirty dish. One of the members our table brought his own dishes in to drop off. The waitress who started working our table disappeared after water had Ben delivered and orders taken. I mean gone, we never saw her again. We flagged down the waitress that was working another table and she didn’t have any knowledge of our order and all the items missing but did her best to try and cover our table too. No bus boys, 1 waitress for 22 people seated at two tables. If I was that waitress, I’d get the tip and find a new job. She was completely unassisted.

We had a wine tasting and stayed for supper with friends. The wine was fruit based (blueberry, apple, etc) and a bit sweeter than I normally drink. We ordered pizzas too and drank a bottle of their wine with dinner. It was all very good!

Walked in on a Sunday for take out. No one in line at first. As line grew, hostess kept sitting people, never did take my order. Walked out to go somewhere else. Called in a take out order a few days later, whoever answered the phone was talking to others, she eventually said she couldn't hear me and hung up. Called a 3rd time a different female took my order. Got to cabin with order, but take out boxes were smudged all over with fingerprints. Made me wonder if anyone washes there hands or uses clean gloves.

We keep coming back for the ribs and pulled pork! It’s almost always our first stop in Hayward. When Kathy is behind the bar, she won’t give up tasting until you find a wine you like! I always do! Relatives love the wine slushies. Never tried the pizza, but it looks amazing! Don’t forget fresh produce for sale in season!

Young woman at the door acted as if she would rather be anywhere and doing anything other than greeting and seating people. Long story short, the service was terrible and we ended up walking out after a table that was seated long after us was waited on first. Ended up at Trailways on 70 where we were greeted pleasantly and seated/ waited on promptly. Awesome selection of bourbon and scotch and food was fantastic!

New place, for us, run by Famous Dave Anderson.
The food was perfect, Dave was the best host and nothing was left to chance. Even thought the place was packed it was evident that the staff was anxious to seat us. Great food/ great service, wonderful location.

We were glad this place was able to open up as it is one of our favorites. The pizza was fantastic as usual. The real surprise was the rib tips that we ordered. These are the best rib tips that I have ever had. Being from the Chicagoland area and traveling through the south extensively, that says alot. I hope these become a regular choice on the menu.

I wish this was closer to home. Get there at opening, or be prepared to wait. Great BBQ and good service. We ate here twice in four days. The wine slushies are terrific on hot days. I was surprised that all in our family enjoyed them, even those of us that are typically beer drinkers.

Pizza was good, pulled pork and ribs were great also. I only gave a 4 because no beers on tap and not much to pick from for non alcoholic beverages other than soda.

Family had BBQ and pizza Both were VERY GOOD. Sat outside because we had a dog, waitress brought him a bowl of water. TYVM!!! Brisket and hot sausage were as good as Texas. Dont miss this spot!!!!

This place is amazing!! Food was incredible. We got a slab of ribs, the pulled pork sandwich, and a pizza. For drinks we had a berry sangria which packed quite a punch and was delicious!! I COULD NOT put down the ribs, they were SO GOOD! My husband is a grill Master and nearly IMPOSSIBLE to please and he too said they were the best he's ever had! The pizza while we had to wait a good 30min for (I didn't mind, we had our ribs and sandwich to work on) had a crispy outside crust while the inside was nice and gooey; almost too gooey only because we had it loaded on with all the toppings. Perfection. Just the carbs I was looking for 😋 We even met Dave of Famous Dave's 😱He sat and visited with us for about 10min and loved our feedback on the BBQ (he sold Famous Dave's and started a new business called Old Southern BBQ which is what they sell here). The staff, while all running around (we were there on Memorial Day weekend so it was NUTS) all greeted us while we stood in line. The bar has a real hip vibe and the decor was all super cute and clean. The bathrooms even had REAL flowers hanging in each stall (see photos) They have indoor and outdoor seating and a beautiful view of their farm fields! Parking was super relaxed, all on gravel. Come EARLY! Kids seemed very happy to run around here although it was just the hubs and me. A great date night or family.night! We can't wait to come back!! (I feel terrible I did not get a photo of the ribs and sandwich! It felt rude with the Master chef sitting with you 🤪)
