I have ordered Palmer's Gift Certificates for years. Some were held at the restaurant for my family/friends to pick up and many were mailed as I am now in Florida. Today, I called to order a gift card for my family to use tonight (or...any night since they receive many from other family members from Palmers) it was just easy for them to receive on their special night instead of having it mailed out....anyways, the manager told me that there is a 20 percent tip charge on gift cards. SO buyer BEWARE! Whether it's for $20-$200 a 20 percent tip will be placed on the gift card for the server. Even through my card tonight may have said "enjoy a drink on us" doesn't necessary mean they will use the card, as like I said earlier, they still may have gift cards from Christmas. So upsetting to hear of additional charges. A shame.More

Server Sheryl D always excellent. Christmas decorations put us in a festive mood. Steaks done perfectly and their onion rings are beyond reproach. I had ordered a special cake for my wife’s birthday and that was a problem. We learned I ordered the wrong cake...and should have been more specific. I simply asked for the same cake we had a month ago for our anniversary dinner. Turns out that cake was an anomaly and the restaurant had never served that specific cake in it’s history. Honestly we didn’t know that. We were instead served a slice of ordinary cake w/ sparkler for $8. Disappointing end to the meal. Definitely not our server’s fault but certainly not ours either! Not charging us for the generic slice would’ve been proper, especially for regulars who order a bottle of wine with dinner. I’d still rate them 4 1/2 stars but not 5. The polite manager told us next time when ordering cake to be sure to talk to a manager. Okay, we’ll try but I’m not too confident that will resolve our cake quandary. Still a great restaurant!More

Entered building to a VERY stuffy, old smell. Lady behind me verbalized the exact same reaction. Sat in the back dining room which was sooo dark and stuffy Food was good but due to the above will not recommend or return!!

I'd heard good things about Palmer's and wanted To be impressed but it was just ok and a little expensive for what you get.. I ordered a filet with French fries and it was no better than what I would have done on my grill...with a grocery store steak with frozen French fries. It just screams average and unremarkable. I'll try it again but I wouldn't make a special trip.More

This place is awesome! It’s like an old house turned into a steakhouse with a beautiful chimney and our waitress Sandy was the best! Good humored, fun and on top of it! She made us feel special. Everyone’s food was delicious! Salmon with mango I...highly suggest and the red velvet cake was outstanding! We will be backMore

Everything about Palmer's is amazing. The food, service, ambience, Palmer's has it all. You can't go wrong with whatever you order. Of course the steaks are magnificent but so is everything else, from the salads to the warm bread.

This is the fifth straight year we’ve celebrated NYE at Palmers. We won’t go back. We ordered crab legs, a bone in fillet, a rib eye, and a filet. The crab legs were presented and were COLD, we asked they reheat them and it took...FIFTY minutes. The rib eye was mostly fat and overcooked. We immediately notified our server—-who was incredibly nice—-and she did all she could but.....crab legs came back extremely overcooked and when told about the steak the response was it would take 45 minutes to replace It. At the end of our meal the manager (I think—he never introduced or identified himself) came and asked what our problem was. When we told him his response was: “well...you DID eat the crab legs.” I can understand a bad meal now and then but their response leads me to believe Palmers doesn’t give a hoot about its clientele. We’ll never go back and it’s obvious they don’t care.More

A November birthday dinner proved to be fabulous. The bartender was so helpful in recommending cocktails and bourbons. Our waiter was the perfect mix of knowledge and personality, that made our experience so enjoyable. Steaks---Yum. Everything from the escargot, salad, baked French onion soup to...the main dish was superb. Our steaks, prepared Pittsburgh style were done just right and the accompaniments perfect. Truly a spot not to be missed for a great steak and nice dining experience.More

We have been going to Palmers for many years and always on New Years Eve. Have always had great service and meals. Last night not so much. I ordered the $70 crab legs, they came to the table cold. It took a bit to call...the waitress back. They ere taken back and when returned to me, they were now over done. I did make a complaint to the waitress who was very willing to see what she could do for me. She came back and said they would be willing to give us desserts. My husband is diabetic and dessert is something he can not have. I asked if they could take a little something off the bill. She sent in a man who came and asked what was wrong and I told him. He asked if the crab was taken back, I said yes but that they were then overdone. He asked me if I ate them and I said yes. He wondered why I did not send them back again and I explained that by the time I got them back the first time, the other people with me were almost finished with their meal and I was not going to make them wait longer. He said there was nothing he could do and walked away. I also would like to say that there was also no social distancing and that did make me uncomfortable. Bar was over packed and all tables, several with large parties were full. It was a very disappointing experience.More

Dinner tonight was disappointing by all 8 in our party tonight. We had a 4:00 reservations and arrived at 3:30 to have a relaxing drink before hand at the bar. They continued to try and seat us even though we continued to say we wanted...to enjoy a drink before our reservation. They should have told you when you made a reservation that they would have a very limited menu. Many appetizers and dishes where not on the menu. Even though the menu heading said steaks and chops, there was no chops. No pork or lamb chops which I was looking forward to. When asked about the chops they said it was a print mistake. Basically the reasons we love eating here was their menu which had so many of the items not available. Steak was good, prime rib tasteless. Did not offer dessert and even told us our time was up for dinner and needed to leave! The service was good as always but sorry to say will not be back.More

Good bread and really good escargot. We each had a ribeye, mine bone-in hers no bone. Hers was very good, mine was not nearly as good. Mine was obviously grilled, hers seemed pan or skillet fried.

My wife and I went here for a date night and were impressed with the level of service we received. Not only was the service great, the food was excellent. My wife loved the cheese curds and both of our steaks were cooked perfectly and...with a lot of flavor. I also highly recommend the twice baked potatoes, you won't be disappointed. Great date location, can't wait to go back.More

It's a High-Power Char-Broiler with an extra layer of Lava Rocks (that sit above the gas burners) that heats up the surface to around 800 degrees!
