We booked a table for 5 for Sunday lunch and could not fault it, the food was beautifully cooked and served, also the gluten free options were fantastic. the staff were very polite and helpful. we will defiantly be calling again.

But this time stopped in for a Saturday lunch. Staff were friendly. Food was excellent, everything was delivered hot and portions were good. Place was clean and tidy.
Do not be fooled by the pub's name. Despite being called "The Black Dog", it seems our four legged friends are not welcome anywhere in the premises. My family and I promptly left and took our business elsewhere.

We were in the area and came accross The Black Dog on our way, we stopped for lunch and received a warm welcome from staff. Very nice home comfort setting and lovely lunch. Would definitely visit again
