I have had several good sandwiches here - my favorite is the Ephraim philly. Each sandwich comes with fruit and a cup of soup. I have eaten here about fifteen times.

Excellent soup and turkey, We were there on the last day of their season. We'd have gone back the next day, but they were closed.

We dined here today on what was the last day of the season for the restaurant. We were informed immediately that there was no beef or corned beef left at 11:00 am, and we couldn't get breakfast at 11 am on Sunday. Really? No beef of any kind? Fortunately, soup came with every meal. I found the crab bisque to... More

This is a cute little place that offers some wonderful breakfast choices. I have only eaten breakfast there since it is so close to where I stay in Door Co. Anyway I absolutely LOVE their breakfast granola. It is fabulous! And good for you too! YUM!

Visited Door County this past weekend. Saturday was cold, windy and dreary. It was early afternoon and we stopped at the Summer Kitchen. The interior is simple and light. We were seated in the enclosed porch. The atmosphere was nice, the employees were friendly and helpful and the soups were delicious. A cup of soup is included with each meal.... More

They are famous for their soups, and my mushroom rice was very good. End of compliments. From there on everything was BLAND! How can you get a tasteless grilled cheese sandwich when you use real cheese and multi-grain bread?

Great food reasonably priced. Loved our seating in enclosed porch area. Could view the birds and lovely garden area. Sorry we did not find it sooner.

If you love soup on a chilly day, this is the place for you. The soup bar stocked with bread and butter also features five different soups. You can get a two cup menu or the soup tasting menu where you can try all five soups. We chose the tasting menu and were not disappointed - just stuffed. The soups... More

The soup buffet is OK but the cinnamon rolls are great! Soup service is with large coffee cups. Decor is fairly nondescript. When we're in Door County this is an OK stop, but definitely not among our favorites.

We were looking for any place that offered breakfast and got lucky to find the Summer Kitchen. It on the main drag in Door County but not stuck in town where parking can be a real problem. The food was very good, service extremely fast and friendly. Save some room for their frosted cinnamon rolls.
