I wanted to write a poor review, but I can’t. The staff here is not especially friendly or welcoming. But they are efficient and everything is spotless. The food is truly exceptional; I mean that. I’ve eaten at every restaurant within 50 miles; this is...the best; by far. I had broiled walleye tonight and it was honestly the best I have ever had. I’ve caught my own walleye in northern Minnesota, cleaned it myself, and broiled it that evening. Somehow, this was better. Dale behind the bar runs a shrewd operation. You don’t get seated for dinner until you’ve had a second cocktail. But his Manhattans are also the best in the north woods. He knows what he’s doing. They all do. If I could find one complaint (and I was looking) it would be the bread at dinner: warm, but straight out of some grocery store package. If they made their own, this would be a Michelin caliber restaurant. I think the secret is keeping it small, only 10 tables. Dale better make sure he holds on to his brother in the kitchen because this food is second to none. Simple fare but comparable to the best restaurants in NYC, San Francisco, or New Orleans. Get there early; it’s well worth the wait.More

Cozy, off the beaten path, not too crowded. Old Fashions are wonderful. Tenderloin with onion soup baked on top was too tempting not to have. Great steak experience... (wish I would've thought of that!) Always a great meal. Wife had Scallops, said best she ever...had! Good jobMore

My wife and our son and family stopped in to grab something to eat. I had the tenderloin with baked french onion soup and I have to say this was one of the BEST steaks I have ever had. The service was great and the...old fashions delicious. If you are in the area this is a must stop. If you want to get in and eat right away I suggest you get there by 5. If not enjoy a drink or two before dinner.More

We were staying at a friend's "cabin" at a nearby lake and this was our second trip to Wolffs. They've upped their game since last time. We enjoyed the shrimp, onion soup and fried cheese curds. It's a family friendly atmosphere run by a family....Good quality food at very reasonable prices. For a big city dweller, this was a refreshing place to be!More

My husband and I try to make it to Wolffs at least once a month. We drive well over an hour one way just to go there for their amazing steaks! The service is already spot on and Dale knows exactly how to make fabulous...drinks! Overall this is an amazing place to go for a night out! Not a single complaint!More

My wife and I enjoyed our meal. I had the prime rib sandwich with the trimmings. It was great. My wife was very happy with her taco salad. It's a typical rural restaurant/bar but we were very impressed with the food.

Food is Great!! Hard to beat the steaks and Prime Rib. Fish and sea food is also very good. Very friendly staff. We go there at least once a month and take all of our family and friends when they are here visiting.

Smaller restaurant but they make up for it in service and their menu. They have average prices on their menu but you get huge servings so you will be asking for a doggie bag.

Called ahead to be sure they could accommodate our party of 9, no problem. We got there much quicker than expected and our table was already set and ready. The place wasn't crowded on a stormy Wednesday night but that's understandable. Atmosphere was relaxed, a...classic supper club. Erica, our waitress, was very attentive even though she was handling all of the other tables. Every order was correct even though we had 6 squirrelly teenagers in our group. The food was all delicious. Cheese curds, onion soup and burgers were all great. Steaks were cooked perfectly, very tender and delicious. Seafood was very good too. We'll be back for sure.More
