Beautiful location, cozy place, nice staff, and good selection and quality. On the downside: 1) very expensive bread and pastries and 2) they do not have an automated bread slicer.

I cannot say enough good things about MacReady’s. Whenever I’m in Door County, I make sure to stop there for lunch, and to bring home loaves of delicious bread (freezing works great). Their pastries are also delicious! Every day, their menu has some new twists...and some standbys. Their homemade soups are excellent and come with an assortment of their breads. Their cranberry chicken salad is perfect...honestly, I have never left disappointed. They have several tables in the store, and outside the lawn also has numerous tables for seating in the summer months, with a gazebo where singers perform on the weekends. Great food, great experience, wonderful staff!More

A wonderful place to get a sandwich and be served by super friendly people. Had a blueberry scone which was great. And a turkey sandwich which was even better. Bread was so fresh and tasty! Staff was very polite....great job! Not always easy to do...in today's environment with so many ungrateful/rude people. Do yourself a favor and stop in, you will be happy you did.More

In the five days of our stay in Door County, we visited Macready's four times. The pastries are delicious, and the breads are divine. Lunch was fantastic, the braunschweiger was a pleasant surprise on the menu and I enjoyed it immensely. The staff will take...next-day reserve orders, and we did that so we would have goodies to take home with us. You guys are fantastic and SO pleasant to talk with. Thanks for your love for food and people!More

We ordered sandwiches to go so we could have them for lunch at the park after hiking. I have to preface this by saying I am not a sandwich person - but this place could change my mind. The bread is amazing, and teh sandwiches...were piled high with quality ingredients. My husband had the Italian, and I had the chicken salad and both were delicious.More

The bread, scones, cookies, and other baked goods are very tasty and of fine quality BUT expect to pay the highest prices. Oddly, the store does not employ an electric/automated bread slicer.

From the minute you discover Macready's, you'll be hooked! Breads, sammies, soups, salads, treats. It's all so good. You can not go wrong here folks. Our guests always make sure to stop in their way out of town to take home fresh bread and chicken...salad. Thank you!More

This place has thee best quiche I’ve ever had. Not to mention their scones. Sadly, it was closed on Wednesday when we wanted to stop for breakfast, again! Highly recommended!!!

MacReady Artisan Bread Company was great. We forgot how nice a simple, “clean” sammich can be. By clean, I mean not a bunch of fancy toppings I can’t pronounce and just good ingredients. Italian sandwich was excellent. Turkey was excellent. Cream of Mushroom soup was...excellent as well, outdoor seating was nicely shaded and spaced apart. Can’t complain, would love to go back again!!! Staff masked up and placed to go orders outside when ready. Good assembly line system.More
