Atmosphere was appealing. Guests included couples, families, and groups of friends. All appeared to be having a good time. Wait staff was friendly and remembered us from day to day! Food was delicious and done to perfection.

My husband and I enjoy eating here as a treat and we were waiting for it to re-open . When they were able to open, we made reservation. Johnny's has made several accommodations to address safety of the guests. Our waiter and the other employees...all wore masks and the tables are clear until we were seated. The waiter then brought the salt/pepper/ olive oil/bread as well as the printed menus. I ordered my favorite steak, the lunch filet mignon and my husband ordered the meatloaf. While we waited for our food, we had a glass of champagne to celebrate another healthy week for us. My steak arrived perfectly cooked as ordered. My husband said his meatloaf was the best he had eaten-very moist and flavorful and the demi-glaze (with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes) added a whole extra level of taste. He said he likes it much better than the Wild Rice Meatloaf offered at Adventures in Rice Lake. He will definitely order this again. Our Pinot Noir complimented both our meals.More

Our most recent dinner here was outstanding. The dry-aged steaks are a welcome addition to the comprehensive menu, and well worth the premium price. I enjoyed the aged Kansas City Strip and my wife had the menu Ribeye— both were perfectly cooked, and the sides...delicious. Our server, Morgan, was a wealth of information about the menu, and seemed to really be enjoying presenting the restaurant’s best. Great experience!More

We are here often and usually it is enjoyable. This time our waitress was too busy for us. We were a party of 6 but she also had another group of 10+. I guess they looked more important. The food was good. Would like to...see a bit more variety and better side dishes for the prices being charged for the "prime" cuts. Starting to look elsewhere.More

Reluctantly we went to a birthday celebration at Johnny's. I have never been impressed with their poorly cooked steaks and over priced so so food. Last night I ordered crab stuffed shrimp. When our 4 orders came mine was some other seafood dish. the wait...staff said there was a mixup and would fix it. in the meantime the other four started eating and the waitress said I will take the pasta off your plate and bring that out and the shrimp will come later. I ate the pasta and then sat and waited for my real meal at which time I got the shrimp only on a plate. They we just ok as far as quality. At checkout I had a wine on my bill that I did not order and was told I had 1/2 off my meal for the delay (should have been free seeing our meal was actually ruined). I told my wife that they always want to do there for their birthdays they have in common that I am not impressed with Johnny's. After the meal I said never again will we spend a special night at Johnnys. I've been to other places when they screw up like that and they tell you to go ahead and eat off this mistake plate while we get you your real order, but not Johnny's it is always about making a buck!!More

Traveling thru Eau Clair I stayed at this Holiday Inn and eat at this restaurant. I felt as Holiday Inn restaurants go, this place deserved 5 stars for striving to be at the top of its class, but as a restaurant that stove for greatness,...with posted wine reviews for its EXPENSIVE wine cellar, it fell short of its goal. It's a dark atmospheric masculine defined space with SPORTS bar {ugh!!} next to the tables. I felt it was neither a top-class Italian restaurant nor a top-class Steakhouse restaurant. Pick one and do it great; pick two and accept mediocrity. There were liquid candles on the tables; most were not lite when we sat down. I asked our waiter to please lite it; he said he would and added the reason they were out was that they didn’t have any lighters left. ((Management take note: they're sold in dollar stores for like 99 cents; go out and buy one!)) Our waiter did ultimately get the candle lit. This waiter served our wine initially but never, despite walking by the table numerous times, ever refill our glasses; at the end, seeing our glasses empty and the bottle empty, offered that we'd not be needing a wine cork to take the bottle upstairs. As gracious as the waiter always was, he could use some better management training towards becoming a first class waiter in a real steakhouse. I also have an issue with the fact that none of the food was ever served HOT: just warm if that. The ""house"" soups that were served were room temp; the prime ribs were room temp, the baked potato(s) were warm. I'm unsure if this was a service issue or a kitchen issue, or bothMore

Prime rib was so salty as to be inedible. Even our dogs had a hard time with it. We didn't complain as we were with friends and did not want to create a scene. French Onion soup lacked flavor. Very noisy as bar crowd was...loud and boisterous. Hard to even carry on a conversation.More

I do not know for sure but I would suggest calling the restaurant and ask. The staff there are always willing to accommodate our dining needs so I suspect they would be happy to work with you.
