I have been dining at Randy's off and on since moving to Eau Claire in 2007. Recently, my visits have increased due to doctor visits at the nearby Mayo complex. On Wednesday, 12 October 2022, I stopped in for their chicken wing dinner. To my...shock, Amy Cope denied me service!! Reason, server claims I make her, "uncomfortable," because I took pics of her and her brass group. She incorrectly assumed that I photographed only her! She invited me to hear them play and saw me photographing the entire group. She said nothing! She was told that the two prints, which are not finished, were a thank you for for respecting an ole man. I suggested, when asked, that she give them to her mom. Ms. Cope refused to hear all of the facts so, here is my problem! File complaints in Federal Court for violating my constitutional right to duty process, violation of my Civil Rights also a Federal offense and to file further charges for liable, slander, etc....in civil and criminal courts locally! Yes, a business can deny service, however, it has to be based on legal grounds and protect the right to due process of the person or persons involved. Failure to do so opens the business to legal complaints and law suits. I will meet with a Federal Attorney next week, his instructions, "No kid gloves!"More

Amazing service! We had a wonderful waitress. Good fish fry and chicken dumpling soup. We also tried the Oreo pie in a cup - it was yummy!

Stopped on our way back from the dells. Great clean restaurant and wonderful service. 10 year old had the cheeseburger fries and malt while the adults had fired chicken sandwiches and all agreed it was great. Will be stopping here on our way up and...back next time.More

This restaurant came with good reviews so my wife chose it for breakfast on our way out of Eau Claire. We arrived at 9:30 on a Thursday and the place was packed. Clearly this is a local favorite. A few observations from the line that...impressed me right off: the line moved fast even though 12 people were ahead of us, they have plenty of staff as tables were cleared, thoroughly cleaned and folks were seated by people who seemed happy to do their jobs! Once seated the waitress brings coffee, menu's and then the food pretty fast and with a great attitude. Staff is on it at Randy's so someone is an excellent recruiter, trainer, motivator here. Now the food: Argh...totally tasteless and common. I did not expect that, My omelet needed salt and then cholula to yield any flavor. The melted cheese on top was boring. Boring cheese in WI - are you kidding me? Why? Terrible. My wife's potato pancakes were thick and again pretty dull. The sausage was really greasy and she ate only one of two. We didn't finish either meal and would never eat here again. In summary the staff is friendly and professional, the place is clean and homey, prices are fair but the food is as average as average is.More

I had a craving for fried chicken and Randy's did not disappoint! They greeted us with warm vanillla pudding. Yum! I got the smaller Senior plate, which was 3 chicken legs instead of 4, and it was plenty. Prices are great too.

We had a poor experience here several years ago and had been avoiding it ever since. But with all the positive reviews, we felt we should give it another chance, and we are glad we did. We actually ate here twice, for dinner and for...breakfast. We both enjoyed our quesadillas (BBQ and veggie) for dinner: large, tasty and reasonably-priced. Breakfast was less of a slam-dunk. The pancakes were a bit dry on the outside but mushy in the middle. Eggs and bacon were fine, but although hash browns were crisp throughout (yay!), they were quite oily. Seating and service was friendly and prompt at both meals. Decor is comfortable for a homestyle restaurant.More

Fantastic and quick service. Served (for free) a taste of their amazing warm pudding) The breakfast was crazy good with big portions cooked just as I asked. Had a cup of their famous Chicken Dumpling soup and it transported me right back to grandmas when...I was a kid. I would rate this 10 stars if I could.More

This place is bustling. An army of servers running around feeding the locals. A solid American menu with specials. Plus, warm pudding served when you are seated! My meal was great and inexpensive. I appreciate the hard working servers and cooks. A very safe stop...for a good meal.More

Went for a homestyle local choice that was highly rated on Trip Advisor. Friendly staff with quick service, good quantity, and reasonable prices. Really enjoyed the Pie in a Cup desert and warm vanilla pudding.

Imagine having lunch at your grandmother’s house…that’s what it was like. The staff is very friendly, it’s a bit of a greasy spoon, and you must order the homemade chicken and dumplings.

They Really Make Each Customer Feel Like ….They Are One Of Their Own Randy’s Family !! A Family owned and operated restaurant just a few blocks the UW-EC campus, hospital and less than a mile from I-94 off Hwy 37 exit. I visited the Eau...Claire campus with a traveling college sports team. I wanted a nice meal and the hotel nearby recommended Randy’s. Wow were they right!! I was seated by an older woman named Laura who captained the front desk area. Quickly I was politely and warmly greeted by my server Kaylee. She took my order, accurately brought my food out with salad, special appetizer of onion rings and meal cooked just right to my specifications. While I had waited for my meal and during my dining of my Friday dinner, I watched and listened. The very genuine care and dedication to serve the patrons was the hallmark of this restaurant. Kaylee served various tables with a variety of customers….all were treated like family. I inquired and found out that Randy and Laura still operate the restaurant since 1960. Gramma Laura was there seating people, bussing tables. Kaylee, my server was her granddaughter. Her care and efficient work for her clients was a “family” way of life, her mother, aunts and uncles still work there. The meal, cherry pie in a safe cup and homemade peanut butter cookies were outstanding!! But it was the SERVICE that I will long remember! As I left that Friday just past 5pm, there was a line to the door waiting to get a table. I found out why !!! I asked for a card for Randy’s. On the front it showed previous TRIP ADVISOR “Certificate of Excellence “ winner. I can assure You, that it is still valid TODAY !!More
