While out and about looking at fall colors we went through Durand. Hadn't eaten lunch yet and went downtown, which is along the Chippewa River, and found this place. It was a little confusing at first...there are a couple different entrances. We went in the "restaurant" entrance and there is a nice dining area. The waitress said we could sit anywhere so we wandered through the dining area down into a smaller bar area which then goes into a bigger bar area. We sat in the smaller bar area so we could see the river. There was also a nice outdoor seating area. There were quite a few out there since it was a nice day. My husband had a cheeseburger and I had a patty melt. Both very good. It comes with chips and pickles but you can upgrade to fries if you want. Very reasonable prices too. Very clean restrooms. Very clean everywhere! We would definitely come back here when passing through again! Highly recommend!!

We stopped at the last town on the bike trail looking for late breakfast on a warm day before our return trip. They found a secure place for our bikes and a shady spot on the deck in the rear overlooking the river. The omelet was delicious and the waitress was super friendly! A very pleasant stop!

Breakfast was very good but we actually came to see the 55' circus billboard from 1885. We were given a tour and got the full history from one of the owners. Fascinating!

We were staying in town and decided to check this place out for dinner. It was almost empty of customers, but it was midweek. We sat down and the server took our order. I had the jumbo shrimp dinner with fries and a coke. My wife had a burger that came with chips and had a lemonade that left a funny taste in her mouth. The food was okay but not the best we've had and wasn't hot. Server didn't have much of a personality either. Don't think we'll eat here again if given a choice.

Ordered the fish fry, fish was dry along with the cold buns. Had two bits and just finished the fried. fiancé had two bits of her fish and a couple bites of her hash brown. Asked for adjustment of bill. Owner / manager was wining about sometimes we get some dry pieces. Refused to adjust our bill order of fries and 2 beer each cost 44.00 dollars.
Will never eat there again.

Really sad!
The Corral was our favorite restaurant when we were in Durand.
Stopped there Friday night for Fish. Place was moderately busy but not packed.
Order pop and a beer and a fish sandwich and fish and toast. My wife got her pop right away. After 25 minutes we finally asked another waitress if she could check on our meal. After another 5 minutes our waitress finally came to our table. We asked if our order had gotten lost. She said they were awful busy. I said that the couple at the table next to us was also waiting but other tables came after us, had been served and left. The waitress pretty much had the "what do you want me to do about it." attitude.
Finally after a wasted half hour, no beer, and no fish, we finally paid for the pop and left.
Not sure the problem, but we would never waste our time here again.

Clean, great view. The walleye was really good. Service was good and friendly. Inside and patio comfortable. Would come again. Next time will try the lemon merengue, but we got too full to fit in dessert.

4.7 out 5.0.. very clean.. food was good and hot... Pickles were awesome... Very nice staff... Great venue for live music. Beautiful view of the Chippewa River... I've been here before and I will be back..... Fab

WE enjoyed the Friday Fish Fry as we got into town after 8 pm on Friday. The service was prompt and the restaurant was clean and spacious.

Very good food and drinks. Hometown cheers bar, very nice people. Only 1 person during the week to do bartending and the cooking.

Friendly folks, frequented by locals. Amazing historic circus advertisement discovered on the wall. Grilled pork chops are delicious. Nice fish fry. Sirloin steak so-so, greasy. Decent beer selection. Ample parking.

During recent remodeling- a large circus poster from the late 1800’s was discovered on an inside wall.
They have preserved it under protective cover and illuminated with excellent lighting.
Come for a sandwich and a beer and see the terrific artifact from another era.

I ordered a small plate of batter-fried cheese curds and a roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The food was very good and the service was attentive. Also, the bar had on display an over-100 year old circus poster about 10 feet tall and the length of the entire bar room. Overall, a good experience.
