Ordered the fish fry, fish was dry along with the cold buns. Had two bits and just finished the fried. fiancé had two bits of her fish and a couple bites of her hash brown. Asked for adjustment of bill. Owner / manager was wining...about sometimes we get some dry pieces. Refused to adjust our bill order of fries and 2 beer each cost 44.00 dollars. Will never eat there again.More
Clean, great view. The walleye was really good. Service was good and friendly. Inside and patio comfortable. Would come again. Next time will try the lemon merengue, but we got too full to fit in dessert.

WE enjoyed the Friday Fish Fry as we got into town after 8 pm on Friday. The service was prompt and the restaurant was clean and spacious.
We stopped at the last town on the bike trail looking for late breakfast on a warm day before our return trip. They found a secure place for our bikes and a shady spot on the deck in the rear overlooking the river. The omelet...was delicious and the waitress was super friendly! A very pleasant stop!More

Friendly folks, frequented by locals. Amazing historic circus advertisement discovered on the wall. Grilled pork chops are delicious. Nice fish fry. Sirloin steak so-so, greasy. Decent beer selection. Ample parking.
During recent remodeling- a large circus poster from the late 1800’s was discovered on an inside wall. They have preserved it under protective cover and illuminated with excellent lighting. Come for a sandwich and a beer and see the terrific artifact from another era.
I ordered a small plate of batter-fried cheese curds and a roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The food was very good and the service was attentive. Also, the bar had on display an over-100 year old circus poster about 10 feet tall...and the length of the entire bar room. Overall, a good experience.More

I brought a group of 70 to this restaurant in September. Upon arrival, the staff was ready for my group. We had a buffet which had roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, cole slaw, green beans, rolls, and apple pie. The food was very tasty and the...service by the staff was amazing. We stopped in because our grandson had a football game in Durand. We lucked out. Great place to have a beer or eat. We had the fish fry and it was the best I have had anywhere. Going back soon.

We took the short drive to Durand from Menomonie to view the one of a beautiful circus poster on the wall of the grill. The 1885 poster is a one of a kind. The staff was soooo nice and helpful with suggestions and our "old...people" slowness. I ordered the hamburger steak. I thought they had given me a steak by mistake. My hamburger steak was the best I have EVER eaten! My husband had fish. The portions were very fair and everything is clean and bright.
