Recently stopped by for lunch and dealt with the friendly staff for a business lunch.
This is a large open room but there is adequate room to have confidential discussions. we chose off the menu and I had a wonderful blackened Grouper that was very well priced and I learned that this was one of their specialties. Never felt rushed and the waitress did a great job attending to our needs. Will definitely be back!

This is the 1st time we’ve been to the town of Delafield, and were looking for a restaurant for lunch today. So glad we tried Zin, and already plan to make a beeline here on our next trip to Delafield. Food, ambience, and service were excellent. If a Monday lunch is this good we can only imagine how dinner is. We started with a small plate of Arancini that were so amazing we got a second order of them. Also had the Avocado Bacon Chopped Salad, the Vegetable Risotto with crunchy fresh vegetables and shaved parmesan, and the Napa Burger which came with golden thick french fries. Every bite, every dish was delicious. Our waitress, Jo, was great, and also rightly steered us toward the best and most authentic Key Lime Pie we’ve had in ages.

This restaurant looks small from the outside but it's deceiving. Outdoor seating is available in front and on the side of the building and heaters are available for chilly evenings. The inside was generous, although we chose to eat outdoors. Server was very helpful with which selections to pick since there were so many good ones to choose from. They have a menu that includes gluten free and vegetarian choices, and most items can be made gluten free by exclusions or substitutions!
I highly recommend the Roasted Cauliflower Dip - so delicious, we could have made a meal of just that by the taste (not the portion size). We had the filet and the chicken parmesan. Both were so very good and good size portions too. The filet melted in my mouth and was seasoned perfectly and it was served with the best fingerling potatoes I've ever tasted along with delicious broccolini. The alfredo sauce on the chicken parm was really tasty and the generous portion left us with a meal for another day. Would absolutely go back again!

My husband and I spent a night at the Delafield Hotel when we had to have some work done on our house. It was an unexpected relaxing wonderful getaway on a Mon night. Instead of trying the food at the hotel restaurant I.d., we thought that it would be better to order from a restaurant that would be a ‘sure bet’ for a wonderful meal as compared to a hotel restaurant that we didn’t know much about. Boy were we mistaken!!
Our meal from Zin was such a disappointment and it almost ruined our nice getaway. (We should have ordered from the hotel restaurant I.d.) I ordered the Chopped Avocado Salad and it was far from the familiar fresh quality I would expect from Zin. The lettuce was warm and limp and not fresh, the bacon was definitely not fresh and the worst part was the dressing - there was absolutely no flavor in a thick unappealing greenish concoction. The description on their menu called it a red wine vinaigrette but there was no red wine vinegar in the “dressing”. There was very little cheese, tomato and cucumber as well. Just a lot of poor quality lettuce. I order salads out all the time and this by far was the worst I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even eat it.
My husband had the Chicken Marsala and the chicken was extremely dry. He was disappointed too. The only thing we enjoyed was the calamari - which was excellent. I called to let Zin personnel know about the meal and they were nice enough to remove the salad from the bill but it didn’t help to keep telling me about how popular the salad is. If it was made properly I’m sure it would have been outstanding. I eat a lot of chopped, wedge, etc. salads so I know the popularity of them. I’m not sure if they had a substitute cook in on a Mon night or what but it certainly wasn’t what we expected for a much anticipated meal ☹️

I came to this restaurant to have a girls lunch with my friends and it was honestly the best food and service I’ve ever received. The waitress had the best sense of humor and was really fun to talk to. The food was served fast and made to perfection. I definitely recommend this restaurant for friends, family, and couples.

My experience at Zin proves that good food isn't enough to overcome bad service. Yes, the food was good, as described on the menu. But the service was so bad that the food took a back seat in the experience. Our party was two couples. We opted for the Wednesday night special, which was essentially a fixed menu from which we chose each selection of the meal - wine, appetizer, main course, dessert. No variations allowed. The first blunder was the server dropping a full bottle of beer on the floor next to my husband. He actually had to ask for another napkin after he used his to wipe his pants and leg. Next the server brought our friends the wrong bottle of wine with their meal. No big deal, but on the heels of the beer incident, it was a red flag that the evening wasn't going to get any better. We were right. We had reservations for 6 pm and finished our meal at 8:30 pm. A couple at the next table had their entrees before we had appetizers. We had to ask for everything: our water glasses are empty but we had to ask for more water; we ordered coffee and had to ask for cream and sugar; our meals required knives and, you guessed it, we had to ask. After paying the bill - which included the spilled beer - we spoke with the manager and shared this information. While acknowledging our experience isn't what they strive for, he never really offered an apology or any change to the bill, let alone a gift card to offset the beer (or anything else). Needless to say, we won't be going back to Zin and will share our story with friends.

We had a Wonderful Birthday Dinner with Mom, tonight! Tuesday Specials were Fabulous & we all ordered Desserts to bring home, as well. Service & Quality & Quantity of meals are memorable. We had Reservations for 5:15 & noticed that when we left at 6:30 there we people waiting for tables (tho the waiting time was short).

Service, food, atmosphere is always delightful. Whether you are inside or out. Some Servers are not vaccinated or masked, so ask for a server who has been vaccinated!! Servers who are not vaxxed should be wearing a mask to protect customers and other co-workers.

Yesterday I had such a wonderful lunch with a friend on the patio. We had just come from a different restaurant where we walked out because the staff person was so rude that we walked out.
How refreshing to walk in and be so warmly greeted by the owner. Our server was outstanding, attentive and fun. Our food was wonderful and the wine was great. It is a little bit of a drive for me but I we definitely be back!

We dined at Zin in Delafield on 1/4/20. There was a special scallop dish. It was divine. The presentation and the flavor of the dish was incredible.
Everyone at our table was pleased with their dishes. Our waitress, Kris, met all our needs.
Great dinner experience!

I eat here as often as possible. It’s one of my favorites. The only downside is choosing which meal to order because there are too many things I love here. Never had something I didn’t like …and I’m super picky. Keep up the good work Zin. It’s killing me you’re not currently open on Sunday (for my birthday)

It was a beautiful sunny day and we were looking for a new restaurant with a patio. The patio was large and the food was delicious! We ordered the Bolognese, Caprese Sandwich and Chopped Salad. The balsamic dressing was outstanding. Our waitress Jo was very friendly and did a great job. We can’t wait to come back again!!

The food quality is outstanding. The meal was excellent and it should be understood that this was a Monday evening dinner. This restaurant rivals the best of Philadelphia and NYC local haunts at very affordable prices

I travel thousands of miles throughout the state and Zin is my favorite restaurant in Wisconsin.
It's a bit pricey but worth it!
- Ridiculously good food.
- Ridiculously good service.
- Comfortable atmosphere.
- The affagato beans are amazing.
- My son raves about the pasta.
- Cailey is the best server we've ever had.
We'll definitely be back!
