We were there yesterday. Found the place on Yelp. If the place was on the main drag it would have been packed. Quiet afternoon. We had the best hand breaded cheese curds/squares and onion rings. Great batter, fresh cheese, sweet onions. The coleslaw was a...sweet sour marinade-great. Great turkey on cranberry bread melt and burger. Good meat. Great service from the bartender/server. Good prices. A little gem that is overlooked, but there are lots of good places in neighboring Alma and across the river in Wabasha. Very nice beer on tap. New Glarus. Nothing gets better then that unless they added Schells, but we were in WisconsinMore

I’d heard the food was good here but I was blown away by the Rueben. They make their own corned beef - how many places do that? And pile it high! With great fries and beer it was a terrific find. Like the Michelin star...people say, ‘worth a trip (from Minneapolis!).’ Thanks, NorthEnd!!More

This was in a tiny town a mile off the great river road near buffalo city wi. Seriously the best Ruben I have had. Piled high with meat and so tender. Friendly service. Worth the stop for sure.

The hand-cut, beer-battered cheese curds are excellent. So is the pizza, and so are the sirloin tips. We ordered a take-out haul and enjoyed game day after a long walk along the river.

The NorthEnd is a local secret you need to find! The staff is welcoming and efficient. Nick and Marie rolled out a new menu this year. The favorites are still there as well as new items. Nick hit a home run with the new CRANBERRY...TURKEY MELT. It has thinly sliced turkey, bacon, lettuce, red onion, mayo & choice of American, Swiss or Pepper Jack cheese, on a cranberry wild rice toast. The blend of these flavors makes your mouth happy. The toasted wild rice bread makes it a healthy choice. A+ The daily soup is so tasty and unique! The menu has a nice selection that will please everyone. The specials are a great value. Pizza and Chicken night on Sunday can’t be beat! The pizza itself is outstanding on any night! The thin crust and fresh toppings will satisfy your tastebuds. The prices are very affordable. You won’t be disappointed with a visit to this local gem.More

North End offers excellent food at a reasonable price. The cheese curds and onion rings are hand battered and delicious. Broiled fish is fantastic and so are the shrimp and tips. The best part is the friendly and good customer service. Marie and Nick really...make you feel welcome and like part of their family.More

I had a great mushroom and Swiss burger. The bar was clean and sunny. Food was fresh and service was good.

The bartender was very friendly very pleasant, the food was not worth the price. The appetizers were hot but soggy and under done the chicken was not satisfactory. We had to finish cooking the food before we could eat it and the prices for the...appetizers were that of double orders anywhere else sorry North End we will not be back.More

I am very sorry to hear you had a poor experience with your food. Unfortunately, it is always difficult to maintain high food quality with any to go order. We hope you consider trying our appetizers fresh & in house! Let us know if you...More
