They do all of the usual breakfast items well, and while there is nothing wrong with the food, the service is pretty great. The young lady that manages the entire small dining room of maybe 30 seats nearly runs when she has to and does a marvelous job.

Two of us had the chicken fried steak breakfast, one had the ham & cheese omelet & the other had the two egg hash brown & bacon breakfast, we had homemade jelly (beet jelly) (Plum jelly) you never know what kind of jell they'll have, it's fun to try the different flavors, the portions are big & home made, service... This is a super small but super friendly little cafe with your typical small-town fare: good hearty breakfasts and darn decent burgers. Don't forget to bring cash!

The Cable Café is internationally known for pancakes. I agree! They had AMAZING pancakes. The service was fast and the food was AWESOME. I came back twice. (Catherine, Age 9)

Good prices and a welcoming atmosphere. Only drawback is cash only and just breakfast & lunch. The decor is filled with the type of 'kitcheny' signs and pics that suits the area. There is history as well as good food.

Upon arrival just seat yourself at an open table as a visitor. You will notice locals by themselves tend to head for the area breakfast bar to converse as a nice small town feel. We wanted to compare oatmeal dishes from 3 local restaurants for a "healthy" option on a breakfast out and Cable Cafe came out #1 without question.... More

They have a sign in the restaurant that reads "This is not fast food, be patient". It is not fast, but is well worth the wait. We camped near by and went there each morning for breakfast and were never disappointed. Homemade jelly served with the toast!

My husband and I stayed in Cable, WI for Mother's Day weekend and, having never been there before, thought to try the Cable Cafe for one of our breakfast choices. I read reviews on Trip Advisor and must say, I agree that this tiny, hometown cafe serves some wonderful, homemade meals. I tried the breakfast special on Saturday which was... More

Loved meeting Bob and Shirley and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service at the Cable Cafe! Bob shared wonderful stores about local wildlife and the community, and Shirley turned out awesome breakfasts for our family!

As we explore the options for local fare, this is one that is not only reasonably priced, but it is definitely home made. The wait staff are pleasant and the restaurant is, although small, made to feel cozy and welcoming. Sometimes I wish it were open for dinner since the summer months bring your only real meal to be after... More
