We spent the weekend biking in Boulder Junction and wanted to go somewhere for music in the evening. I saw Bret and Frisk would be there on Saturday, so after checking out the information, thought we should go. We did not have a reservation, but...found out we could bring our own chairs to sit in the beer garden area. We just had snacks and drinks, but service was excellent! Carl was great about frequently checking to make sure we were doing okay as he brought several cups of hot chocolate to our group (weather was freezing). Music was excellent! Wish we lived closer - we would go there a lot. Thank you to Aqualand for making a great weekend even better.More

My second, but not last, dining experience here. They still have the best BLT on the planet! Generous portions of everything on toasted sourdough with aioli....oh my And the soups....always house-made...tonight it was vegetable minestrone with pesto...yes, pesto. Sadly, they wouldn't share the recipe. And...lastly, the service...beyond stellar and always with a smile. I can't wait for my third visit 😍More

An unexpected find in the little town of Boulder Junction. We were looking for something different than bar food and found it here. Loved the menu and choice of drinks.

First, I'm going back for the food. I love a BLT....their's is the best ever!!! It contained all the right ingredients, with nicely generous amounts of lettuce 👌 and they use aioli instead of mayonnaise...a stellar difference. And I won't even mention the bread was...butter grilled instead of toasted. Second, the wait staff....amazing....all were moving faster than a stroll, our waItress managed to be personable and fast. A stellar meal 😋More

Stopped after a day of biking; I enjoyed the salmon lemon salad; husband enjoyed the walleye sandwich. Sandwich served with potato chips and would have preferred homemade chips or French fries. Outdoor seating was preferred but not every table had shade availability. Great service. Excellent...drink selection; no domestic beers or hard liquor bar.More

Aqualand today is an ale house in Boulder Junction. It used to be an animal amusement area on a lake outside Boulder Junction where families in the 50s and 60s would go to see north woods animals in native habitats. Aqualand today is an average...to above average ale house with good house made beers and decent food. We dined there twice during our stay last summer since it was one of the few places with outside dining and enough staff to be open during the COVID pandemic. I'd love to go again when we are in the area next.More

We enjoyed our ale and appetizers at Aqualand. Service good and we enjoyed being outside. Area large enough to social distance from others.

We stopped in for a late lunch and enjoyed a savory Mediterranean pizza. Somehow, they managed a generously topped pie on a thin crust without compromising the crust. We also had the Lemon Caper Salmon Salad. Nice greens, toppings and well prepared salmon. We didn’t...detect any capers in the dressing but it was still good. The restaurant was mostly empty but we did see people in the outside area. The beer offerings are lost on us but I suspect that is the main attraction for many. Note to owners-you need to update your online menu and prices.More

Fantastic setting at Aqualand Ale House, love the new louvered overhead shades. Had to have a Aqualand Ale House Musky Spit while in the Musky Capitol of the World. Shared a warm pretzel with jalapeno cheese sauce and honey mustard. Next up, shared a perfectly...prepared, 3 cheese - grilled cheese. All topped off with a slice of Suzie's home made Key Lime pie - OMG. Great to see you Susie & Dick, thanks Aqualand Team for a delicious and fun visit.More

Doing laundry, needed to kill time, popped over to Aqualand. OMG, so glad we did. Red Reef and a Musky Spit. Buttery pretzels with amazing dipping sauces. Plus, a local beer garden with comfy chairs and a campfire. Lovely people all around.

We had a party of 5 and didn't make a reservation for dinner, but they were able to accommodate us. They wore mask, had social distancing tables, a window to order beer while we waited for our table. The outdoor atmosphere was awesome as well...as the food. Perfect/large portions. Very impressedMore
