Refugio Sennes is a quiet basic refugio. Very clean. Nice owner & staff. I think all rooms have shared bathrooms. The food was very good. We had a nice cut of beef, potatoes, cole slaw. Ice cream with warm raspberries was the dessert. All in all, I'd recommend Sennes for hikers.

We stayed here on the first stop of our AV1 trek, and it was lovely. Cows clanging their bells in a beautiful mountain valley. Food was great, and the room we stayed in was clean and commodious. Perfect!

Rifugio Sennes was the second rifugio we stayed at during our walking holiday in the High Dolomites. Sennes is a remote location. There is no internet connection or mobile signal. However, this rifugio proved to be the best we have ever stayed at – and I have stayed at many. The family which runs it take great pride in providing... More

We stayed at Rifugio Sennes for the first night of our AV1 hike, and it was a good decision. The rifugio was clean and comfortable, service was warm, efficient and prompt, and there were hot showers (which we did not have to pay for). The food was also very good - we ordered the tagliatelle with deer ragout, the risotto... More

This was a lunch stop destination on a week long hiking trip in the Dolomites. Too bad we were not staying the night as it was a very welcoming place. There is a deck with fabulous views, a great place to relax and take in the scenery...and delicious food. We had an awesome plate of fresh cheeses and meats including... More

We hiked here from Lago Di Braies at the start of our Alta Via 1 trek. The 'official' stopping point on the Alta Via 1 is Rifugio Biella, which can be reached about an hour to an hour and a half earlier than Sennes. However I highly recommend staying at Rifugio Sennes instead, as it is a gentle walk from... More

First stop for our dolomiten hohenweg - really good. A very noisy dutch group could not spoil our fun, although being dutch we were somewhat embarrasses by/for our country. But that is something which the excellent staff could not help... Great visit.

Sennes has a nice position on AV1. Big terrace and living room are welcoming. The rooms are rather big and comfortable. The facilities are nice and clean. The hotel smells freshness and quietness. The staff is attentive even if speaking only Italian and German. A great overnight stay!

My room was very comfortable with a view. No ensuite, but the shared showers and toilets were tip top clean. Breakfast and dinner was very tasty. Enjoyed listening to the Ladiniesch even though I could understand not a word. The only con was that the boot drying room did not work that well, so still had wet boots and socks... More

As a group of 3 couples walking the AV1, we found this refugio very comfortable and welcoming on our first day's walk from Lago di Brales. The staff were very efficient, the food (we had 1/2 board) nutritious and filling and the 2 bedroom rooms clean and adequately equipped. The beds were comfortable and towels were supplied but a sleeping... More
