Still the best/only FAMILY dining place around

The food is NOT gourmet, but very decent. Some items, such as veal dishes, are very good, almost excellent Large portions.Friendly and quiet. Some music (but it is real music, and not very loud, so one can have a conversation. Service is OK, depending on your server.

Mixed Feelings

In the past we have eaten in the dining room with no problems. Food has always been good. Their pizza is very good and we decided to pick up our dinner tonight. We had Chicken Limone and Chicken Marsala with a Cesear Salad. Dinner was very good and I would rate it a 4-5. The problem was that we could not find the 4th Street pick up. We had the address but there was no signage at all...no street address visable and no sign with the restaurant's name. Ater calling and going around the block twice we were told that the drive through was in the parking lot. No sign...just two windows. They really need to fix this.

Food was tasty and portions were decent. We had the Italiano Sampler to share. My wife had the Ravioli and I had the Baked Mostaccioli. Delicious! Service was great. We will definitely be back again.

A group of 5 went to this restaurant to enjoy a nice meal prior to attending the film festival in Beloit. We were seated promptly, however from there on out it was all downhill. Our server was new and at every opportunity, she let us all know that. If we asked a simple question she did not know, instead of saying "I’ll find out" she said "I’m new" and would let it go at that unless we asked her to find out. Her knowledge of the menu was nonexistent. She didn't know an appetizer from a main dish and this became very apparent when we ordered. When we sat down we made it known to our waitress that we were attending the movie in their patio room and that we needed to be paying no later than 7:15. Three people got what they wanted as two had the buffet and one had a simple pasta dish, but two of us experienced something entirely different. One person ordered a main dish and was brought an appetizer. When asked why she brought an appetizer, the waitress said "This is what you ordered”. When my own dish arrived, I reminded the waitress that I had ordered Pasta Carbonara as the dish she put in front of me was clearly not Pasta Carbonara. When my correct order arrived, it was very clear that it had been sitting under a heat lamp for maybe 15 minutes and looked like one glued together mess. I said nothing about this as we were still trying to deal with getting one of our group her dinner. At this point, the waitress became very rude and defensive and said that our party had been difficult all night, and said a few other things that I won’t include here as they were very offensive. At this point we were dumbfounded by the waitress’s words and actions and being out of time to eat prior to the movie, we got the manager involved. Two of us were late for the movie so our seats were poor. After the movie finished we sought out the manager to settle up. To our amazement, only part of our issues got resolved regarding the food. None of us will ever go back to this restaurant again.

So Disappointed

Every time I come back to the Beloit area I can’t wait to get Domenicos’ pizza. I was so disappointed this time. It’s definitely not the same Domenicos. The pizza crust tasted like a pre made crust and didn’t have the taste or texture. So disappointing. I guess next time I’ll go elsewhere after being a patron for over 40 years.

Amazing Delivery Dinner

I recently had Domenicos for dinner on a recent Friday night when staying in South Beloit. I was happy that they would deliver across state lines, and the food was wonderful! I had placed my order around 7:15 on a Friday night, so I figured it could be busy. They estimated a 1-hour wait time, which I didn't think was too bad. I was delighted when the order arrived at my hotel room within about 25 minutes! I tried the cheesy garlic bread as an appetizer, and that was really good! It reminded me of the same item I used to purchase from a fundraiser, and I always thought that was the best garlic bread. I ordered the cheese tortellini with meat sauce for my entree, and the pasta was very good as well. This tasted like true authentic homemade pasta, not something that was frozen and heated up! It was a great pasta dish that left me wanting more! I had some wine with me in my hotel room, and the wine was a great complement to my meal! I really enjoyed Domenicos, and I would like to return and dine in at their location some time. I would recommend Domenicos.

My wife and I tried this when I was craving some real Lasagna, not frozen! What a delicious treat! Their meat sauce is excellent. My parents are Italian, so I'm very picky about my sauce. My wife usually gets spaghetti and meatballs and loves it. We both almost always take home half of our food since the portions are so big! We've picked up pizza before when we're unable to go out or have gatherings at home. Their full menu is on their website, which is nice when you want good Italian and don't want to go out. Their catering offerings are excellent for small/large parties too! Can't go wrong. Great local, family owned business. Not your typical chain! Oh and busy nights end up with a full parking lot. There is plenty of street parking, too, which helps. We've never waited too long for a table, even when busy. I posted a couple of pictures too.

Pizza was burnt

Delivery took over an hour for a small works pizza and it was burnt. I would suggest going elsewhere, this place used to be good and a go to for pizza.

Visiting from out of town for Thanksgiving

We visited Beloit to spend Thanksgiving with my 92-year-old mother, who no longer has the ability to leave her home. The wonderful people at Domenicos helped us tremendously by providing a fantastic take-out dinner even though they were fully booked and extremely short-staffed. The past 2 years have been very tough on those in the restaurant business. We asked Peter and the staff at Domenicos to help us out on their busiest day of the year. They could have said "sorry." Instead, they worked with us and, as a result, we were able to give my mother Thanksgiving dinner in the comfort of her home. Thanks to Peter, Joe and the staff at Domenicos. They gave us another thing to be thankful for! Please support this restaurant if you can.

After a beloved ones funeral service we had the luncheon here. It was her favorite dining out location. And I hve to confirm that the pizza, pasta, and entrees were delicious. The staff was super friendly and totally enjoyed Domenicos’s.

Had made a reservation months in advance for a group of approximately 20. The buffet meal was as expected and fine. Would give 4 stars for the food. However would only give 2 stars for the room/settings. We were in one of the banquet rooms. The chairs were very beat up. There were flies which seemed odd given it was not summertime anymore...and the help did not care when we complained about that. They brought out bread to share but no plates to put the bread on. When we asked about bread plates we were told they were short on dishes. Had never heard that one before at a restaurant...and the banquet room, which could hold a lot of people, was mostly empty. It was not like there was some big crowd they had to deal with . So 2 starts for the facility. Overall 3 stars.

Everything was very awesome. Go easy getting your salad from salad bar as trust me your get more than enough food and will be full!! Everyone was very nice and helpful, esp not knowing what to order.Food was hot and excellent
