We were staying at the Ironworks Hotel and decided to eat here again. Service was fantastic. Meal was great! Had the mini filet and it was done just as we asked for it. Salad was also very good. Will definitely be back here again as...it is one of our favorite places to eat while in Beloit!More

My wife and I came here for dinner on Saturday night. We had reservations and we were seated promptly in the newly built addition overlooking the Rock River. It was quiet and cozy in our area. Our waitress dropped off the menus and the whisky...list and stated she would be back. We overheard 2 other waitresses inform their customers what specials they had that night and what was popular on the menu when they dropped their menus off. Our waitress returned and took our drink order with no explanation of the menu or its specials. My wife asked for lemon for her water and it was brought after reminding her 10 minutes later. Our appetizers included the French Onion soup and the Crab stuffed mushrooms. Both were seasoned well and flavorful. My wife asked about any specials and the waitress gave her two of the night, but not really explaining the ingredients. We both had salads and they were presented very well and crisp and delicious. My wife ordered the filet mignon with "The Works" (crab and shrimp mixture- $11.95 add-on) and mashed potatoes and I had the Strip steak with bleu cheese and Parmesan potatoes. Dinner was presented with very warm rolls, crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. Both our steaks and potatoes were fabulous, well seasoned, and tender. Our only 2 complaints were the onion straws served with the meal. They were limp, not browned, nor were they flavored with salt or herbs. They were flat and pretty disgusting. The second was the add-on "The Works". My wife gave me half of the mixture and it was cold. Not lukewarm, but almost refrigerator cold. Her half was lukewarm. Plus for $11.95, I would have expected a flavor explosion but this was not to be. The mixture was flat-tasting, not seasoned, and had no crab taste whatsoever. Along with the waitress's flat affect, this meal was good at best. For spending $104.00 plus tip, I would have expected excellence.More

Pretty good but kinda expensive for a restaurant in a hotel. Crab cake appetizer shouldn’t be called “Maryland Crab Cake” or whatever they’re called as they would get thrown away in Maryland. Lol. They were ok, just not even close to something in MD. Service...at the bar was good.More

The decor was that of most upscale steakhouses, big comfy booths, black and white photos on the wall, but the food was incredible. I also felt like the value was incredible. The same meal in Chicago would have cost twice as much. The service was...very good as well.More

We dined here once and came back a second time for after dinner drinks, while staying at the hotel. Grouper entree was amazing but very pricey (~$40); NY Strip was a bit disappointing and also price (~$45). Service was very good both times. We enjoyed...the bar area very much. The Italian Wedding soup was deliciousMore

My husband's steak was quite underdone (ordered medium and the steak was somewhere between rare and medium rare). We decided not to send it back due to the anticipated wait time but had assumed a steak joint would know how to prepare a steak. Perhaps...more frustrating is that we had made reservations over a month in advance and were seated in a cold and uninviting conference/banquet room. The lack of ambiance definitely did not make us feel like the $100+ dining experience was worth it.More

So we thought this would be an upscale steak house. We were seated (with reservations) in a back room that looked like a hotel conference room with cheap seats and cheaper decor. My husband's steak was burned on the outside and my mushroom ravioli literally...had no sauce. The waitress offered us a special on a bottle of wine, then came back to say they were out. She offered a substitute (mind you our menus were long gone) and then charged us $12 more for the bottle which I thought was a "slick" move. Don't waste your money at this place.More

Great place to have a great steak! Cooked just perfectly as a steakhouse does it for you. Service was just perfect, and ate outside and watched the river.

Just about anything goes. Some people were in jeans, while others wore very dressy clothes.
