Great Service and Delicious Food

Stopped at this restaurant a couple times while staying the weekend in the Beloit area, especially since our hotel was within walking distance. Friend and I stopped for lunch on one day and for breakfast on another day. Restaurant was moderately busy both times, but we did arrive outside the typical breakfast/lunch time rushes. We were greeted and seated almost immediately after arriving. Service for both visits was very good. Waitress was polite and friendly. She was also attentive to our dining needs throughout our visits. Both of my meals were very good. I enjoyed their chicken bacon ranch wrap for lunch, which was fresh and flavorful. The French fries were also hot and crispy. I had their Road Dawg special for breakfast. The eggs and bacon were good (but were especially memorable). The pancakes were light, fluffy, and very scrumptious. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food that you’re receiving. Similarly, you receive decent portion sizes of food as well. My breakfast, in particular, had so much food that I couldn’t finish it all.

My wife and I was looking another restaurant but could not find it so stopped in to Road Dawg. Glad we did. Right timing and was asked if we wanted breakfast or lunch. We ordered breakfast and was very satisfied. Coffee, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, pancakes and......more coffee..... Very excellent staff and food. We did something nice too...…...My wife paid for another families meal. It was a younger couple with two small children. Very nice.

Great Broasted Chicken

I love fried (broasted) chicken and this was as good as I've ever had. The light, crispy coating was not greasy and just perfect. The biscuits were good and the coleslaw was a bit sweet for my taste but overall everything was great. We were actually the first curb-side pickup since the shut-down. It was a great value for the amount of food in the meal packages. I rarely rate a regular restaurant as cheap eats but I think the value warrants it.

Great food, great value

We just stopped at the Road Dawg New Years Eve Day early in the afternoon for a quick lunch on our travels. We were seated immediately, service was fantastic! I had the 2 piece (dark meat) fried chicken lunch special. I ordered the coleslaw and a side salad to accompany it. Also had a fluffy biscuit with butter & honey. It was delicious, and such a great value! Coffee was hot & plentiful. Hubs had the skillet breakfast with eggs & pancakes. So much tasty food for such a great price. Service was prompt, and cheerful throughout. This is one of our “go to” places whenever we are near Beloit.

As an American expat, coming back to the US to visit and finding real American family restaurants/diners/truck stops is a true pleasure. Road Dawg Family Restaurant is exactly that. Good food in very large portions, friendly service, and a reasonable price, Road Dawg is it. The restaurant is just off the I-90 expressway at the Beloit exit, next to the Holiday Inn Express and another hotel. Large parking lot can handle even a semi parking there. I ordered three pancakes, bacon, and an iced tea and it was only $11. The pancakes were the size of the plate. Huge. I could only eat half. For visiting foreign travelers looking for a real American restaurant experience, this place is it.

Place need update and a health department reveiw

Old and out dated boths and furniture. Bathrooms are gross, had roaches behind toilet. When walking in has a smell of urine. Did not get past eating salad when found dead flies inside it. Decided to cancel order and left.

Stopped for breakfast.. I had the veggie omelette with hash browns and pancakes!! It was great!!! Wait staff very friendly and service was great.. would highly recommend.. you best go with an appetite though.. portions size was great!! Couldn’t finish though had to take home a doggy bag..

Dishonest staff, ioo

Horrible and dishonest staff. My daughter left her purse and immediately returned to be told it was gone. Staff was very rude and uncooperative. Camera review was requested and police were called. Staff lied to police and said camera 'said' she walked out with purse which she did not. Police initially did not review camera themselves but believed staff. .. we pray police will go back and insist on camera review themselves to see what happened to the purse/$$ ... We 100% believe the camera would reveal the truth. Why wouldn't they cooperate ... What goes around comes around. God knows.

Poor service, rude waitress.

Walked in, greeting by hostess, sat in a booth for 20 minutes, got up and left. Completely ignored by waitstaff, not even offered a glass of water -- wasted my 45 minute lunch break for nothing

Fantastic Food

We first came to Road Dawg for their buffets...which were wonderful. It allowed us to taste many of their offerings. We LOVE Road Dawg. The food is always of the highest quality. The broasted checken is to die for. The BEST EVER! The fish is also a personal favoirte as is the cheese curds and jalapeno cheese curds. Like Cold Slaw? Yup, the BEST in town. YOu just need to have one meal there and you will be HOOKED! Great Food, Fantastic Staff at a reasonable price! WHY are you waiting?
