I grew up on deep dish pizza in Chicago. Why eat baked cardboard with crunchy veggies when you can have scrumptious ingredients in a luscious sauce on freshly made bread? Gem City offers both. While waiting for friends to arrive, my wife and I had...a beer on a cold, rainy October afternoon. The bartenderess (perhaps owner) brought out what they call a "Small" "Carnivore" pan pizza for a couple of guys at the bar. OMG! It was huge! It's really hard to find really good pan / deep dish pizza in WI. While waiting, we had looked at their menu and thought we knew what we wanted - - - until that pizza came out. We ordered a "small" "Deluxe" pizza. We'll have 2 more meals from the leftovers. The pizza was excellent. Fresh, in-house dough made daily.Local veggies. WOW! The service was prompt, engaging, friendly, efficient and not overbearing. Our friends ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and some Jugglers (shaved beef sliders). They said both were delish and the french fries were great - no catsup needed - or wanted. Prices were more than reasonable - 4 meals + 2 leftover meals = 6 meals + 6 tap beers = around $50 including tip (in $2 bills). Went to a brewery a few blocks away $21 for 4 beers. Spend your $$$ wisely my friends. Go to Gem City Saloon and Eatery. We will definitely be back!! Don't wait - - - GO NOW!!!More

We asked for a menu while sitting at the bar, NO ONE came back to take our order. Waitress was too interested in her cell phone.

Delicious dinner! We stopped in on our way to Devils Lake State Park. Denise was working alone on a relatively busy Sunday evening. She was very efficient and still had time to be friendly. We both had the prime rib sandwiches and fries. So good!

Due to the pandemic, carry out only is aailable. GEM city has by far the best pan pizza I’ve ever had. The prices are super reasonable for what you receive. I look forward to supporting local businesses during this time!

You will not leave there hungry. Delicious pizza. They are huge at a good price with great flavor. Waitress was very accommodating and pleasant. One of the replacement guy bartenders came in and was not as nice. Still a fun place.

Gem City has some of the best pizza around. The last few times I've been there it was just to get pizza and head out. The bar area is a little small for going out and the crowd is a little older from what I...have seen.More

Has excellent pizzas, setting is a tavern, so if you don't want that type of setting I recommend you go elsewhere, it can get noisy. Service was very good and is located in one of the oldest part of town so there is history in...the area.More
