When we went in to ask if we needed a reservation, the Hostess/waitress was nearly rude. In years past, perhaps with a different owner, reservations were needed! It didn't seem like a foolish question, except to the hostess. When we returned at our reservation time, there certainly wasn't a crowd. It was a Sunday early evening, and they were out... More

Hi, Just a little note to apologize for your experience. We have a new hostess. she is very sweet, but new to serving the public. We obviously try to provide the best service all the time. We close at 3pm on Sundays, and sometimes (especially during the winter) we will run out of an item. That is no excuse for... More

Wonderful, cozy little restaurant in downtown Baraboo. Went there for the first time and ordered the take-out Moroccan chicken (comes with rice, bread, and greens). What I did not know, was that there was a berry sauce on the chicken, which was subtle, and executed tastefully. Props to the chef for combining the flavors so well.

Crowded but staff very friendly and accommodating. We have been there 3 times. Each time have had an excellent meal. Menu is varied...not the typical Wisconsin burger and cheese curds type of place. The vegetarian pea soup is a must to have if on the special board when you visit. A gem of a place in downtown Baraboo!

When passing through, we prefer to stop at a "local" place verses a chain restaurant. So using TripAdvisor, we decided to stop here. We arrived shortly after 1 and they closed at 3 that day. Ordered: two kids' pasta, soup of the day (vegetarian split pea) and a garden salad. The soup was very good. It was thick and having... More

What an absolute delight. I am always in search of a good beer cheese soup. I have found the best beer cheese soup anywhere at this little café. I had the curried chicken salad. What a taste delight. Lots of Curried chicken, lots of vegetables and perfect combination of salad. The curried chicken was just perfect. The service was excellent.

We got to the restaurant at 3:00pm and one other family was just leaving. So we had the place to ourselves! Normal this would be a bad sign but as soon as the host welcomed us my fears were gone. I ordered the yellow fin tuna browned lightly. It came with black beans, quinoa rice, and a creamy light orange... More

Great locally prepared food. Delightful service. The daily specials -- soups in particular and the desserts are awesome.

Went there with another couple. This place is mostly for the younger crowd IMHO. Still, it was interesting, fun, and the staff was friendly and well-informed on their menu items. A little crowded inside, but there are a couple of tables out on the sidewalk too. I would go again.

My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant many times since discovering it. The restaurant itself is quite quaint and charming. The wait staff are very attentive and friendly. The food is outstanding!! Have never had anything that I didn't like. It also has a very unique offering each time with regard to the special. Definitely save room for... More

Arrived at noon sharp for lunch with an associate, and not a moment too soon. The place was almost at capacity. I was lucky enough to get a table near the front so I could see when my friend arrived. I had one of the best crab cakes that I've ever had. Flaky, lots of crab meat with hardly any... More
