Went here with friends. Waited a long time to be served - restaurant was not busy. Waitress got our order all mixed and was not nice about changing what we ordered. Also had a hard time explaining what was in two of the sauces and just said "Oh I don't know. We just buy it in." Sandwiches were expensive and... More

Hi there, sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at the farm kitchen. Could you give me a bit more info so that we can remedy this problem. What day were you there? What did your server look like? Which sandwich did you have? Our highest price sandwich is 9.95. We look forward to hearing from you!! More

It still is mostly fried food but the buffet is tasting better than our last trip several months ago.

We had eaten here many times over the years and used to love it. They started going downhill quite a few years ago but we held out hope. We had been regulars for many years for the weekend buffet. We finally just quit going do to the declining quality of food and service. We had recently heard that they had... More

My husband and I end our weekend in the area by having a wonderful local Sunday breakfast brunch and relaxing at the Devil's Lake State Park before heading back to Chicago

We stopped in here on our way to Devils Lake State Park. The brunch had many staples, tasty and fresh. There was also a good variety of bakery goods. And our 5 year old grandson ate for free.

Just came home from a dinner there after a hike at Devil's Lake for Mother's Day. When we came in, the staff was short and rude, and somewhat confused. I mean, how hard is it to seat a family of five in a nearly empty restaurant? When we were finally seated, we were told, very brusquely, that the only thing... More

Family visit for Easter Brunch. We were seated in the front part with a window towards the front yard. Nice setting. The brunch was good although the prime rib was a bit tuff and the scrambled eggs overcooked. Pancakes, biscuits and gravy, ham, bacon, chicken, salads and dessert table were good. The place was packed so service was a bit... More

This restaurant has apparently changed in the somewhat recent past and from what it appears, some serious updating needs to be done with the interior. However, we arrived for lunch shortly after opening and the server/ hostess was very gracious. The service was good as was the food. It was reasonably priced and adequate for portion size. The bar area,... More

We drove by this place on our way to the Lake and decided to swing in for breakfast. Food was great, plenty of it! Our waitress was very helpful and friendly.

Homey atmosphere. Service always pretty good. The food is basic basic home style, but good, filling and fresh. If you're missing Grandma's decor and cooking, here you go... Only two issues. Their buffet is the big attraction, but it is overpriced for the fare offered and the desserts are blah blah. Think hospital.
