You don’t have to be vegan to fall in love with this place. We were sent her by a local and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered from the black bean chili soup to our entrees and dessert. Service was also excellent. Can’t wait to return...the next time we come to town.More

I have been a vegetarian (of the ovolacto variety) since 1965. Eating out is a bit of a mine field. Is there lard in the beans? Is there chicken fat in the soup? Do they sneak bacon bits in their fillings? Are foods fried in...animal fat? Okay, you get my drift. Our dear friend told us about this legendary vegan restaurant in Baraboo. So it was a must visit for us. Immediately greeted and shown a nice table by a very friendly wait person with a cool European accent. So nice to know everything on the menu is 'safe". My wife ordered coffee, which came with a small carafe of vegan (fooled my wife) cream. She told me the coffee was really good. Split pea and vegetable soup (no ham) and a cheeze and veggie sandwich for both of us, please. Sometimes I find vegan food lacking in flavor and texture. Here, however, we found our food to be really really delicious. The sandwich was a perfect compliment to the soup. The soup was a perfect compliment to the sandwich. Our waiter kept my wife in coffee throughout our meal. Excellent service! For dessert we were recommended a cashew chocolate Expresso cake. It blew our minds, so creamy and flavorful. Bottom line, you don't have be a vegan to enjoy this place. The food and service are top notch. For those who avoid animal products this place is for you.More

When we were in the area about 15 years ago, we ate at this then vegetarian restaurant. It is now vegan and in a smaller, intimate setting. Food is still excellent. Seating is limited as are the hours it is open. Our best meal in...the Dells and we are neither vegan nor vegetarian.More

While visiting the Wisconsin Dells area, we have eaten two meals -- lunch and dinner -- at the Cheeze Factory, and each time have been amazed at the freshness, flavorfulness, and beauty of the food we were served. We are not vegans, and ordinarily wouldn't...seek out a vegan restaurant -- but this one is fantastic. Fresh ingredients, colorful, deeply seasoned, beautifully prepared. We chose to go back for another meal, and may well go back again before we leave. Favorite dishes -- pasta basilico, lentils and sweet potatoes, the ciabatta bread.More

Yes, it is a vegan restaurant. Just forget about that! The food and beverages are delicious and beautifully presented. I'm definitely coming back!

Long story short: If you are vegan or vegetarian, don't miss the Cheeze Factory! We stayed in the Dells, but I'm vegan, which is very hard to accommodate in the dells unless you just want a salad at every meal (which i definitely don't) ....Found this place via a Google search and am so thankful I did! We stayed Monday thru Thursday. The Cheeze Factory is not open Monday or Tuesday, so I impatiently waited till Wednesday to go over and order a few meals to take back to the condo. I ordered the soup & sandwich, a Deli-cious sandwich, Mediterranean pasta, Bangalore, chocolate espresso pie, and some truffles. Let's just say I was a very happy girl the rest of the trip. The sandwiches were absolutely epic, and the pasta was so incredible and satisfying. The truffles made me so happy since I was drooling over all the fudge I kept seeing in the dells that was obviously not vegan. These people are so talented with seasoning their dishes and cooking everything to perfection. This place will be my first stop every time we are in the dells from now on!More

What a delicious meal! Stopped in for dinner while on the way to Madison, WI. It's smaller and the menu is shorter than when this restaurant was in Wisconsin Dells, but the food is still awesome. Current special--Bocadillo (a Mexican inspired sandwich) was unbelievable. I...truly don't know how they make vegan ingredients taste this good. It had an egg-like patty that was better than most real scrambled eggs. And not greasy or heavy at all. Fresh-baked roll--delicious. Served with an unusual and very tasty side salad with olives & grapes in a interesting dressing. Side of baked potato wedges, done just right, with a sour-cream like dip that was addictive. (I usually don't like sour cream dip). Couldn't resist getting their muffin of the day--banana chocolate chip--which was sooo good, I think possibly the best muffin I've ever had. Again, how can this be vegan? And gluten-free too! Wife had mushroom-like soup that she said was unique and very tasty. Son had cherry pie slice which was huge and looked like something on display at a county fair! You gotta try this place. Call ahead to be sure they're open b/c their hours are pretty curtailed at this time.More

Amazing vegan restaurant. Normally my daughter who is a vegetarian only has a couple options. Everything on the menu is vegan. The quality of the food was great. I bought a cookbook because the recipes were amazing!

You would not know this is a vegan restaurant by the name. We were a party of four and had the mediterranian pasta, banana panckes, lentil soup and sanwich combo and portabello sandwich. The food was very tasty and filling.

Two of us are vegan, one is a vegetarian, so we were duty bound to try as many things on the menu as possible. It Was All Great. Not a subpar item in the bunch. We had an appetizer, entrees, drinks, and dessert. Hearty portions,...flavorful, lip-smacking goodness, friendly service, and mid-range prices that make this well worth visiting again and again. It's places like these that make me understand that restaurants CAN go vegan and not give up anything at all. I've read the other reviews listed here and they are correct. If you're not vegan or vegetarian, you will still love the food served here. And if you ARE vegan or vegetarian, you will have the meal that will make you love the fact you are who you are.More

Not being vegan ourselves, but after reading others reviews, we decided to give this place a try. So glad we did. The food was really very good. I had the spaghetti and "meat sauce" parmesan, my husband had the grilled veggie flatbread sandwich (he loved...it!). Not sure what was in the "meat" sauce (!), but it was very tasty. We chose to take ours out and they had a table for pickup right in the front. Would definitely go there again.More

We’re on a long family road trip and wanted something different. We stopped in and were blown away by the service and food. We enjoyed our meals so much that we purchased their cookbook on our way out. It’s a quiet and cozy place. If...you’re in the area, definitely go by. If you’re not in the area, definable worth a drive. We’re not vegan but it’s one of the best meals we’ve had. Even our picky kiddos loved their meals.More

My family came here and my step-dad was disgusted by the idea of vegan food. He was so disappointed that this is where we were going to eat. But let me tell you, he changed his tune MAJORLY once we got our food. He loved...the soup, he loved the main dish, and he loved the dessert. And he is not a fan of non-meat meals. I am vegan, but I have been to a few very so-so vegan restaurants. This one knocked my socks off. It is 2.5 hours away from us and yet my husband and I are already planning when we'll go there again. We will drive 2.5 hours for a restaurant. Let that sink in.More
