Not being vegan ourselves, but after reading others reviews, we decided to give this place a try. So glad we did. The food was really very good. I had the spaghetti and "meat sauce" parmesan, my husband had the grilled veggie flatbread sandwich (he loved...it!). Not sure what was in the "meat" sauce (!), but it was very tasty. We chose to take ours out and they had a table for pickup right in the front. Would definitely go there again.More

We’re on a long family road trip and wanted something different. We stopped in and were blown away by the service and food. We enjoyed our meals so much that we purchased their cookbook on our way out. It’s a quiet and cozy place. If...you’re in the area, definitely go by. If you’re not in the area, definable worth a drive. We’re not vegan but it’s one of the best meals we’ve had. Even our picky kiddos loved their meals.More

My family came here and my step-dad was disgusted by the idea of vegan food. He was so disappointed that this is where we were going to eat. But let me tell you, he changed his tune MAJORLY once we got our food. He loved...the soup, he loved the main dish, and he loved the dessert. And he is not a fan of non-meat meals. I am vegan, but I have been to a few very so-so vegan restaurants. This one knocked my socks off. It is 2.5 hours away from us and yet my husband and I are already planning when we'll go there again. We will drive 2.5 hours for a restaurant. Let that sink in.More

Didn't realize what we were getting into, but stayed, and were pleasantly surprised. My husband and I both liked our entrees (stir fry and a Mexican dish) and would go again. Give this place a try. Very friendly staff.

My husband & I were out for a drive while visiting Madison for the holiday weekend, and we decided to look up where to eat as we approached Baraboo. I had sausage or something grilled on my mind. We found the very highly rated Cheeze...Factory at the top of the list on here, and so we decided to stop in. What a smart move! Even though it was the middle of the afternoon, there were a handful of customers, which was nice. We were greeted with big, warm, welcoming smiles, and we checked out the menu. We had a really hard time deciding, but we narrowed it down to the linguini with "meat" sauce, a stuffed veggie quesadilla, and the corn chowder. Everything was mind-blowingly good. Neither of us are vegan, and we do like our share of unhealthy things... though we strive to eat clean and fresh most of the time. The Cheeze Factory hits the mark on all counts. All three dishes were fresh, flavorful, complex, and all around really really good. We overheard another customer asking for something that wasn't vegan and who maybe wasn't even familiar with vegan food... and when she got her order, she, too, was praising the server (or owner?) about how good her entree was. The corn chowder was chock full of fresh veggies and good spices. The linguini was rich and yet still light. The garlic bread - spectacular. And our quesadilla had so many good beans and veggies in it. There was so much umami going on in all this food. I only wish I could have a vegan place this good near me at home. If you're in or near Baraboo, you really should dine here. You will be very very happy with your decision.More

Ate dinner here as family while driving to Madison. Very delighted by the creative menu and quality of the food. Bangalore brunch bowl was really good, very satisfying. Open sesame stir-fry was very good. The hummus plate was fresh and flavorful and the flatbread way...delicious. Then, the pastries and desserts--wow. Maple-walnut pie was out of this world, a new flavor I was not familiar with. The Glorious chocolate cupcake was awesome luscious, though pricey, for a cupcake. A few details: Small downtown storefront restaurant which appeared very clean and welcoming. Friendly attentive service, but don't expect super fast. Adjacent off-street parking appeared ample. Small cute public playground across the street.More

You can order anything on the menu and leave satisfied, full, and energetic. I doubt there are 11 better restaurants in Baraboo. I doubt that there is one better.

I had the fortune to visit this restaurant, and now I consider it one of my favorite places to eat plant-based meals. My wife and I ended up at the Cheeze factory without planning it, and what a pleasant surprise we had. After a day...of climbing at the lake, we were in search of healthy and tasty food, so we could not be luckier to discover this gem. Not only the food is terrific, also the service was exceptional. I highly recommend this place, even if you are not vegetarian/vegan.More
