After finishing a nice walk at the Ridges Nature Center, I asked the person there if they had any recommendations and this was one of them. This place is so close to the nature center that you could walk to it in under 5 minutes....We came in around 1 PM on a Friday and it had a bar and a room for the restaurant. There was already a decent crowd at the bar, and one or two other groups having a meal. There was only one person working so she had to quickly run back and forth between the bar and restaurant and she did her best. For the actual food, my wife and I tried fish tacos as she recommended, and my daughter had a mini-pizza. While the taco looked good, I thought it was a little dry but my wife liked hers, as my daughter liked her pizza. This is a classic neighborhood place where I’m sure many people come on a regular basis and it’s a friendly astrosphere. So if you are looking for fine dining go somewhere else, but I would recommend it as a nice casual place for a bite and to relax.More
We stopped in for lunch, and enjoyed the experience. The facility is a comfortable, resort town eatery/pub. Our server, Ned, was attentive and informative. The haddock was very good; and the Mexican posole (hominy) soup was excellent (we got a second bowl for take-out, to...enjoy later). They don't offer any desserts, but we were given info on nearby options. All and all, a solid option if one is seeking a good meal in the area.More
My husband and I were looking for a spot to get a fish fry. We saw this place online and figured we would give it a try. Their fish fry was AWESOME. They had a great price and 5-6 different types of fish to choose...from! Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a great Friday Fish Fry!More
Very busy pub on the corner as you enter Baileys Harbor. Hubby ordered a burger and I ordered a bowl of their homemade chili. As a quick side, I ordered a basket of teriyaki wings with fries because it was my birthday and I LOVE...wings. Hubby’s burger was big and juicy but didn’t come with fries. He said it was really good. My chili was also good. It was mild to medium spiced, definitely tasted homemade and came with a packet of oyster crackers. I added cheese. The wings were outstanding! Crispy outside and juicy inside. The fries were also hot, crispy and salty. Plenty to share. This place was packed. All the tables were full, all the high top bar tables were full and every single spot at the bar was taken. Says something about the popularity and quality of the food. Definitely glad we stopped in. We came right at noon and got a high top table in the bar area. People who came about one o’clock thinking they’d miss the lunch rush were the ones who had to wait or come back. Just saying…come early or come much later. But definitely come. PS: The menu is on a sheet of paper. The website has pictures of many items that are NOT currently being offered. Basically bar food and pizzas only. Come for the yummy wings…we’ll be back next trip!More
Friendly and very good service. Clean restaurant. Good grilled cheese sandwich, very good chili and fantastic fish chowder. We would go there again!
We walked here from you motel down the road ( recommendation from motel staff ) wait wasn't long and food was amazing.
Had burgers fries and cup of chowder! Chowder was superb? Burgers we served done as ordered with toasted bun and added fried onions! All very tasty!
We stopped here our first day in Door County just because it was handy. We went back twice more during the week. The food was great, service was outstanding, and beer was cold. Highly recommend.
We stopped in late one night for a quick beer, which ended up being more than one due to the hospitality of the bartenders and my cousin meeting a local guy in there. Didn't try the food, but we will next time. It's across from...the marina with indoor and outdoor seating. What more could one want.More
My whole family loved eating here. The prices were good, the food tasted amazing and the customer service was excellent!! We had the fried cheese curds, shaved prime and the fish tacos. Super delicious!
We had just come off kayak trip on Lake Michigan, we’re looking for a good lunch spot- this fit the bill. We were promptly seated, and drinks brought. Iced tea was right strength, beer cold. Had first fried curds experience. Filling, well- prepared food. Fish...tacos had a kick and were not overly seasoned with cilantro. The grilled cheese sandwich was pure comfort food. Fried fish meal had crispy coating to the last bite. Same crunch lasting for sweet potato fries. We’re here in summer, but would appreciate this place year- round.More
Excellent service. Lunch busy, and the bartender and waitress did an excellent job getting everyone taken care of in a timely manner, without a long wait. My friend had the burger with onion ring on top. She said it was excellent. I had the special,...chicken salad (bread toasted), while it was light and flavorful, I didn’t not care for the over lemon flavor. A definite location to visit when I return to Door County.More
My wife and I, stopped here last Friday, for lunch. Their sea food chowder, EXCEEDED our expectations!!! It was SOOOOO good, and loaded with seafood. Never had chowder that good before. My wife and I, both had a whitefish sandwich. I had the Cajun and...my wife had the baked. They were both VERY good.More
Stopped for lunch on our way to Sister bay for Fall Fest. This was our second visit. We both had sandwiches and they were great. They were fairly priced and the server was great. We will stop again.
