Hadn't eaten there for awhile. Usually very busy. Got a chance to go just ahead of dinner time. So glad we did. Food was very good. Lots of fulfilling choices. Home cooking type of meals. Our waitress, i believe her name was Sarah, was extremely nice, kind and friendly. Great job Alpha!

We walked in and automatically impressed. [NON Smoking= YAY]. All kinds of large game mounted up on the wall, [mini Cabella's=so cool!] Ordered stuff mushrooms as an appetizer, cheesy heaven! Boyfriend got the drunken shrimp. Came with a large portion of French fries and corn.. He finished all of it! I got a cheeseburger and fries. So much food, reasonably... More

Great choices for all with a menu that meets the needs of diverse family tastes. Our dinner included a pot pie (which is the best I ever had), lobster bisque (rich and creamy), a burger with egg and bacon (yum!), and a decent philly cheese steak sandwich. The only downfall was the service. They assigned only one waitress for a... More

Great food, extremely quick service, and friendly staff. Very nice atmosphere, reminds me of a ski lodge. Robust menu and interesting food choices. Had a Duck burger and lobster bisque that was very good. Also, not overpriced. Must visit, one of the best in the area.

We stopped here on our way to Oglebay park. With all of the raving reviews, we thought we'd have a good meal. The food was awful and way over priced for what you get. Next time we visit Wheeling, we will not be eating here.

We go to Ye Olde Alpha fairly often. Alway great food and service. A real wheeling tradition. I love the cheese fries and dont miss the Bridgeport Brownie! I rarely get the same thing twice because there is so much good stuff on the menu!!!!!

Based on the TripAdvisor reviews, I planned to have dinner here after seeing the Festival of Lights at Oglebay. The restaurant closed at 10:00 pm and we didn't arrive until 9:15 - but the reviews were right! The service was quick, and we were on our way out by 10:10 (and we didn't feel rushed at all). Our server was... More

Came for the Festival of Lights, stayed for the Philly Cheese steak. Looks small but is very filling and delicious. Ye Olde Alpha seems like a little hole in the wall bar but you should definitely stop in for a bite!

The Greek Wings were excellent as well as the dipping sauces. We have never been offered so many choices for dinner. Very accommodating establishment. The Duck Burger and Crab Cake very good as well. For a sweet ending we ordered a mini beer which was suggested by restaurant regulars at the next table. (Liqor 43, a Spanish liquor and heavy... More

While in the area for a meeting decided to check this place out. Upon entering we were a little skeptical however over all it was a good experience. I had the special which included a 7oz filet with 2 sides. The filet itself was delicious with that being said the price was $28. My partner got a burger which didn't... More
