We've stopped there twice recently. They have a great selection of craft beers, but the food is mainly bar food and the place is so dark inside that it's hard to see the menus or what the food looks like. We had hopes that the place would be an improvement on the limited eating options in Wardensville; but, sadly, it... More

I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality of creativity of the menu. We actually ate here twice in one weekend, and each experience was thoroughly enjoyable. We had well-made cocktails, excellent oysters on the half-shell, and a meat loaf and ribs that far exceeded what one would expect from such humble menu items. The quality of the produce was top-notch,... More

Wow! After a long, rainy, hot day outside, we took a chance on this spot and were pleasantly surprised. The beer was really good and the food was excellent! Salmon and steak were cooked to perfection with fresh vegetable sides. The folks in the kitchen know what they are doing! We sat at the bar, but there was plenty of... More

We were staying at the Asa Cline B&B and were looking for a bite to eat. The innkeepers recommended this place so we decided to give it a shot because we didn't see much else that appealed to us as we drove through the area earlier in the day. My wife had the half smoked chicken and I had half... More

Stopped for a beer on our way back to VA. We just ate lunch up the road so didn't get to try the food but will definitely go back and try. Husband loved the IPA beer and very reasonably price. A bit dark on the inside is the only complaint.

About 6 odd ride out motorcycles from Northern Va to this place. None of us had been there but had heard good things from other bikers. It's not far just about 15 miles off 81, about 2.5 miles away from 66. The restaurant was nice and cozy, the atmosphere was friendly, it was more upscale than I was expecting and... More

A little out of the way, but WORTH the scenic drive. The beers were good but the food was the star. Bison Meatloaf is a must! Try the onion rings were great. The atmosphere was relaxing and quiet.

My wife and I stopped here for a late lunch / early dinner a week ago on our way home from a trip to Maryland. We each ordered the fish and chips, mine with fries and my wife's with hush puppies. Large portions, not greasy -- very good. We tried two of their beers, again very good.

Another unassuming place. I stumbled on this place by accident. Stopped in Wardensiville for late lunched and parked directly in front of Lost River Brewery without knowing it. In short the food and beer are awesome. Won't find a lot of places like this out in WV.

We had reservations, but stood around for about 30 minutes before we were seated and then we sat for 5-10 minutes before one of us asked the waitress for menus. She said we couldn't have them because they didn't have enough. Keep in mind there were several empty tables at this point. We finally cobbled enough menus to share around... More
