I turned around three times before finding the street....Cafe Acropolis is hard to find! Even when I arrived there was no hostess - I called them on my cell and they came out to seat me! It seems the family is working hard to please- food was seasoned well! Portions were healthy sized...not big! Prices reflect fine dining establishment....which I... More

Food was a little pricey. The fried cheese appetizer was just ok; for $20, I was expecting more. I had the Greek/Italian special which was pretty good 7/10. My girlfriend had the garlic and olive oil spaghetti, she gave it an 8/10. Homemade carrot cake was good 8/10.

Went for a family celebration and food was tasty. The homemade bread was unexceptional. I enjoyed the ice tea with mint. Fairly expensive for the locale.

Well worth the trip around the corner. Food is great, service is good and friendly. Owner is on site and friendly. This last part makes a real difference!

Why go to Applebee's and get a ziplock baggie of crap dumped onto your microwaved chicken breast? Get a meal made by an artist instead. These folks work very hard to bring a great experience to your meal. Yes it will be more expensive and yes it will be great. Support a local business and open your eyes to what... More

Food is always excellent here and service is always great!! Staff is very knowledgeable of the menu. I recommend the parthenon pantheon and you have to get the hummus as an appetizer. Only bad thing i can say is that although the food is always excellent it is also overpriced.

Hidden down a rickety road, at the top of the hill, we found this authentic Greek restaurant. What a surprise! The building, décor, vine covered patio, transported us to the Greeks Islands and brought back many memories which we shared with the owner/chef. The food was very good, again typical Greek food. Lamb chops were tender, salads were fresh and... More

Cafe Acropolis is a family-owned restaurant located at one of the higher points in Summersville. The owner, Pete, travels back to his native Greece several times a year to obtain spices and ingredients for his recipes. The building has an authentic look and there is dining available out on a patio for the warmer months of the year. It is... More

Have been here several times and the food is always excellent. The restaurant is situated on a hill top with a parking lot view of busy route 19... but when you enter the building, you feel as if you are in an old rustic home in Greece. Old beams and exposed rocks in the entryway set the tone. We ordered the... More

Cafe Acropolis is a unique addition to the commonplace fare that dominates this part of West Virginia. The setting is quaint (though road noise may intrude) and the menu is broad enough to accommodate many interests and sensitivities. Service: When we visited, the wait staff was not fully Greek-competent or confident with flaming dishes. Price: Though Cafe Acropolis is certainly... More
