We arrived at Snowshoe around 3:30 and as usual, room's not yet ready. So decided to have a late lunch at Hoots since it didn't seem busy and tables were well distanced. This place always seems a bit dark and grungy despite the windows looking...out onto the slopes. Menu selection is pretty limited. You order at the counter and they'll call your number when food is ready. Wanted to have the burger but was advised that it'd take 20 minutes as the meat was frozen so needed time to thaw. Didn't want to wait so opted for the fried chicken sandwich and chicken tenders with fries. The tenders had very hard crust and were tasteless. The sandwich was slightly better since there was some lettuce and mayonnaise which added a bit of flavor. Overall quite underwhelming even without high expectations.More

No famous Smash burgers that we were looking for. Menu options included an Italian sub, ham & Swiss sandwich, or Gouda and turkey. We decided that we had better choices back at the condo.

I mean, we read the reviews and knew we shouldn't do it but we were staying at Top of the World and it was therefore such an easy option... Food is really an afterthought here so if you must go, go for drinks and eat...elsewhere. We collectively had two fast-food sized hamburgers and a plastic bowl of chili and 4 draft beers for a total of $71. So yes, resort pricing but every other place we tried at Snowshoe Mountain was a better value for the resort pricing. Wouldn't go here again even if we stay at TOTW.More

Our group of 4 went in the evening (near the end of ski season) for refreshments and maybe a snack. After seating ourselves at a table and waiting... and waiting.. and waiting....we left. There was a bartender and maybe 3 to 6 other people there....Unfortunately, a very typical Snowshoe experience. There is the potential for a very cool atmosphere here, but it is cancelled out by the abysmal (lack of) service.More

Waited 10+ minutes for a $4 cup of hot chocolate only to find out machine was inoperative. After a long wait nearby bartender gave me some hot chocolate from his dispenser. I saw other guests get bowls of COLD chili. Not what you expect to...get with high resort food prices!More

Came here for the season pass holders party last Saturday. Having just arrived after a 5 hour drive it was great to join the cheerful crowd for the spicy wings, cheese fries and $1 beers. Been to Snowshoe many times but never actually ate here,...as this place is off the top of the Soaring Eagle lift and a bit removed from village center. It's not big inside and kind of dark - with a glassed in patio - casual, dive bar atmosphere except there are always plenty of families with small kids. Food was ok, the wings could have been marinated more but the sauces were good, and the cheese fries crispy and tasty. Best thing is it's right off the slopes so convenient to take quick a quick break and warm up on those cold and windy days.More

Hoots is a ski-in, ski-out place on the top of the mountain, just steps away from the chair lift. We took a break from skiing for lunch, not expecting too much. Let's be honest - they have a captive audience and can serve whatever they...want and hungry skiers will eat it. We were very surprised to find that the burgers were fantastic, topped with grilled onions and mushrooms if you want. A side of fries is $6 extra (captive audience) but it's large enough to split with 2-3 people.More

This is by no means a fancy lounge but its right at the top of the mountain next to the lift, and definitely a convenient spot to take a break from skiing, grab a drink and some food, or to play pool and hang out.
