My wife and I went to Kazu for lunch and we both ordered the Japanese Lunch Boxes. With that you get a bowl of Miso soup, salad, Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura, Chicken Teriyaki, and 3pc. California roll. Wow! What great food. Must return here!

We had dinner Saturday night at Kazu. The kids and I were eager to try the sushi and my husband wanted to try the Thai. My husband had the yellow chicken curry, and it was very good. The sushi, on the other hand was awful. I ordered the rainbow roll, and my kids ordered the California rolls and tuna rolls.... More

Not initially an inviting venue, but absolutely great when you get your food. Cooked to order and very flavorsome and I have never had a disappointing dish. Sushi is always pricey, but so good and worth the money.

We have eaten at this restaurant and have taken food out many times. We appreciate the fact that they just don't have 'Thai Hot', but the also have 'Southside Hot'. Southside is what you order when you really understand what hot is and the Kitchen knows that you have had it before so it won't be a problem. Lately, I... More

If you choose Kazu, you can eat sushi or Thai dishes such as pad thai, chicken with basil or one of several curries; a filling Japanese udon noodle soup topped with tempura and served in a clay pot, or a tasty, classic wonton soup. In other words, there are lots of choices. The setting is casual, with both booths and... More

The sushi is amazing and definitely worth the time and money. As the only place in Shepherdstown to get sushi , if it's something you are interested in I recommend you try the shrimp tempura sushi. Really good food and family-friendly. The food is definitely Oriental, so it may not be very kid friendly if your kid is a chicken... More

This is one of those "gems" in life that happen once in a while. When I visit a town I always ask the "locals" where they would dine. For authentic Japanese cuisine this is the place to go which many of the locals recommend. From the delicious Misu soup to the wide variety of menu choices you cannot go wrong!!!... More

I was skeptical, but I was really was craving some sushi. We had the Rainbow and Soft Shell Crab rolls as well as the Spicy tuna and an Eel with Avocado roll. I'd recommend them all.

Kazu has been a local establishment for a long time (many decades). The quisine never fails to please. I think of the food as refined and tasty. The service is pleasant. All food is cooked to order. If speed is desired ask the server for guidance when ordering. This is a wonderful restraint with delicious food

We waited almost an hour. If we hadn't been tired and with a three year old we would have left. The chef is stretching by offering Tempura. The Thai dishes seemed to be better handled, but none of it was worth the poor service. I don't think it was the waitress's fault just a slow kitchen.
