Being new to the area my wife and I have heard a lot of people comment on NET in Parkersburg so we decided to take a ride and check it out. Very much NOT impressed with the entire setup really. First off we stood in...the corner of the room for close to 13 minutes without a single soul saying anything to us. We were not even sure if we were in the right spot to be in line until finally someone acknowledged us. The wait staff is just not friendly at all and I mean at all. After we were sat by our waitress we sat there at our table for another good 10-12 minutes just to be asked what we wanted to drink. Aside from these little irritants I just was not impressed with the food either. Almost everything I saw come through was food that is frozen and dropped in the fryer. Chicken wings looked like they came from a gas station, at the same time my wife and I were complaining to each other about the soggy uncooked french fries the couple next to us was complaining about the onions rings being undercooked and it just became comical. Nothing worse however, than when it was time to go. We once again sat for about 10 minutes or so after she cleared all our plates (I would have thought no plates in front of us was a hint we were ready to go), but after we were finally given the bill you have no other option but to walk to the bar and pay like you would at a diner 35 years ago. Problem is the bar was crowded with people sitting and customers standing in line to get more drinks. So once again (for the 4th time that night) we waiting for another 15 minutes for the customers to order and receive their drinks before we could pay. Actually the more I think about it the more irritating this is. I just changed it from a 2 star to a 1 star just because I had to think about all this hassle again while I was typing. JustMore

i ordered meals for take out and place was buzzing everyone was smiling and enjoying great food , staff were happy to see you and very polite, plenty of choices on menu, craft beers which are brewed in house, we ordered food to take home...before we left the house it was ready within a few mins of us getting into the bar/restaurant , it was still hot when we got back to house which was about 15 mins drive away, the portions were amazing plenty to feed 5 adults and 5 children plus plenty for next day for 2 adults, price was very good , would recommend this bar restaurant , will go back again and againMore

After being to numerous brew restaurants in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. I would say this is an average food and beer pub. Staff was really friendly and willing to help us with food and beer choices. It didn’t blow my socks off but, I’d...try it again.More

Nice, small selection of homemade beers. It's a true local experience. I've been told it's the oldest restaurant in West Virginia.

I went here on a friend's recommendation. Trying to get through traffic was a real chore. The atmosphere has a pretty standard sports bar feel. The WV Wheat beer was very good with a light, clean taste. For dinner I ordered the Bahama Mama sandwich...with onion rings. The sausage has just a hint of heat. I was expecting something a little hotter. The onion rings came out hot and did not fall apart as some rings will do. The prices are very reasonable and this is not a bad place to go with friends for a quick bite. They stress a German cuisine, but don't offer German potato salad (which I love). The server was pleasant and attentive. Just not a place I would go out of my way for.More

Very dissapointed in our experience.3 different people tried taking our order. Got drinks ordered and food. Fries came out way before or sandwiches, we were done with our drinks and fries before our our sandwiches came out. Sandwiches were dry, didn't get what we ordered on...sandwiches. Slow service. Loud, not a good experience!More

Both the beer and the food are fresh and tasty here. We were there on a Friday night, high school football night, and it was crowded, noisy and alive! Loved it! The brews were delicious.

Cool little neighborhood bar. Getting into the place though from the main street is a bear. Menu is a little limited and is covered with ads. Food was well-prepared and came out fast. I had the Bahama Mama sausage, loaded. Really good. We also had...the onion rings and fried pickles. Also really good. Great beer selection including their own beers and several different local IPAs. Two regrets: (1) Our server was great except he didn't inform us of the specials which we saw on the board after we had already ordered; and (2) it would have been nice to pick up a t-shirt from here. If we are ever in Parkersburg again, would we go back? Absolutely!More

Love stopping at the Net when I’m town. They have the best burger in Parkersburg. Great atmosphere and service. Family friendly as well.
