This is just a little place, it certainly doesn't look like anything special but the food certainly is special. Our party had everything from the Fish Friday special to a patty melt to a steak to the funnel fries. It was all great. The service was fine (nothing special there) but the food was just outstanding. I can't wait to... More

I have been here several times and I am never disappointed. I highly recommend either the Catfish, or the Chicken Cordon blue. Always get the Mac and Cheese! For dessert Deep Fried Oreos hit the spot. The service here is always outstanding!

Four of us had dinner there a week ago. Staff was friendly and attentive. Loved the food. Even my Dad loved it!!!!! We all enjoyed what we ordered and will definitely be back! Enjoyed the historic pictures on the wall too!

Don Williams is a great proprietor and has developed a core menu that is a very good representation of local fare. He also has a savvy way of delivering specials that give the restaurant a personal touch. This is one of a very few places in the area that you can recommend to picky eaters as well as more adventurous... More

Never have a had a bad meal here. Actually, never even a mediocre meal. Always good. Salad bar is top notch and I've tried 6 or 7 menu items. Enjoyed every one of them. Nice staff, nice owner.

Our group of 9 came in on a rainy Monday night to an empty restaurant but very much enjoyed the food. We had everything from the shrimp basket to pasta primavera and a deep fried sandwich and oreos. Prices were reasonable, service was all done by one lone person, and she did great for our loud families :-) There are... More

This place is amazing! Our children are very picky eaters, but they gobbled up all their food! Recommend the cornbread!

Came here today for lunch. Lots of good choices on the menu, and I've tried a number of them. This time, I ordered the hamburger with bleu cheese. What a delightful burger! Perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful burger. Plenty of bleu cheese, lettuce, mayo and catsup (my preference), even the bun was excellent. The onion rings were freshly made--crunchy and... More

Had dinner here with extended family while visiting the area. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. One thing of note, and worth the trip if you are nearby, is their poorly named "cafe chips". They should be called Southern Nachos. Home-made potato chips topped with pulled pork, Gorgonzola, and thinly sliced banana peppers. Absolutely amazing dish! The... More

My 1st visit to oak hill, not exactly a destination town but we found this FANTASTIC little restaurant! I had the steak and Gouda Mac & cheese. Yummy & quite the surprise in velveeta country. The menu has some traditional American fare as well as some creative additions. The Cafe chips were OUTSTANDING!!! Home-made potato chips draped in pulled pork,... More
