I was here May 2022 and the servings were great, large portions. Back in martinsburg August 2023 and got it for dinner. The rice serving was small, the beef serving was huge, requested half black beans and half refried, small black bean portion. Barely any cheese, lettuce or sour cream. Just surprised at how sparse the “low cost” portions were vs the meat. I rated it 3 because of the beef portion alone. It was fairly slow and the second someone refilled something on the line, everyone stopped working and watched each other.
Employees were basically scooping out of their paycheck haha. I hate comparing Habanero to chipotle because it’s the one thing I look forward to coming back to martinsburg for, but for the price to servings, chipotle would’ve been the better choice.
I will always recommend Habanero as a go to, but they really need to figure out portioning or they’ll drive their own customers to chipotle, like they have me. Let’s hope next visit is better with them, really sad because I’d usually eat there every other day while in town. Catch you in 2024

Was here for lunch on a Saturday. Short line for food. The place is very spacious and open. Nothing fancy. Generic tables and metal chairs. You order at the counter and they prep your food in front of you not unlike a Chipotle. Staff were very friendly. I ordered the regular chicken burrito. Also
got chips and queso. I wanted guac but surprisingly they were out of it. The burrito is one of those big fat “pillow” type. The dude waiting on me did a great job packing it all in there and keeping the burrito nice and tight. A lot of times I get something similar at Chipotle and it’s always falling apart. Price was reasonable. Total was around $13. They say they make everything from
scratch and everything certainly tasted fresh. The chicken had a good flavor. It was a little dry I thought even though I had them add pico de gallo and sour cream. I think they probably use too much rice too. Easily could’ve cut the portion of rice down in half. But all in all it’s a decent burrito. The queso was very good.

Eat in or carryout. Line can be long during lunch and dinner time but the staff prepare food to your liking. Plenty of options to choose from. If you're not sure what to get staff is more than happy to give recommendations. Food is prepared daily so everything is fresh. No freezer or microwave on premises. Generous food portions guaranteed to fill you up. Staff are friendly and professional.

I was there in the early afternoon and there was a fair amount of patrons. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had. I had the chicken nachos and the chicken was excellent. It had a great char grilled taste to it and there was tons of it on the nachos. The portions were all huge and none of us could finish all of it. The seating area is basic but I wasn't expecting anything else, especially for the prices. We all agreed that this was a great choice and would definitely go back.

The food tasted similar to Chipotle. Not a lot of flavor.
The employees were less than friendly. Seemed annoyed we were there.

We eat here every time we are in Martinsburg. You can get your food as mild or as spicy as you can handle. Burritos, Burrito bowls and and quesadillas are the main fare. All are made to order. Everything is made from scratch and very tasty,

This is a fun place to visit. You get to create your meal as you go. They will make it spicy or mild. I love the burritos and quesadillas. You can sit by the window and watch the traffic.

We appreciated the fresh food, prompt service, and tastiness. We can recommend the chicken burrito and steak soft taco. The sopapillas were delicious. I love their disclaimer!! Although this was downtown, we were able to find parking easily.

Have your Mexican food just the way you like it here. Lunch time is super busy here and waiting in line can be a little while, but the line does move quickly. We have never been disappointed here, you should give it a try!

I thought this was a restaurant that was trying to duplicate Chipolte, the establishment was its own characteristics. The food and service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to visitors.

With other mexican type venues in Martinsburg, Habanero is really good and reasonably priced. We have never been disappointed. Keep in mind this is a very casual establishment.

Habanero is a good choice when in downtown Martinsville. The dishes are put together in front of you and done with fresh ingredients. The menu looks a little small, but you can make lots of changes and make each dish your own with the variety of choices.
