The historic General Lewis Hotel where this restaurant is located oozes charm and is just three blocks from the very center of the historic downtown. There are several interesting independent restaurants in the downtown, but the others are closed Sunday and even Monday. So you...More

Their breakfast menu has many items including Eggs Benedict and numerous other items. We enjoyed dinner there one night and I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the food. I wasn't particularly hungry so I ordered a vegetarian pasta. No, I'm not a...More

The waiter was very Friendly, exceptional at his job. The Brunch was delicious. Crabs cakes and potatoes ! The prices are fair. A "must" historical stop! Built in late 1800's

General Lewis dining used to be a really special occasion for us... cozy atmosphere with elegance (linens and real flowers) and offerings on the special side... but our visit this week put it more in the restaurant-chain type service. Servers were matter of fact instead...More

The food is very good! I had their vegetable pasta, trout and fried chicken and they were delicious but it's quite expensive for a small town I think.

This place changed ownership in 2013 and it was not a positive change. The local businesses in the city of Lewisburg are largely run by a group of hipsters and unfortunately, they made their way in to this historic business and made several changes. When...More

Wonderful breakfast with unique selection items. I had the Cajun BLT breakfast. The bread is homemade and the cajun mayonnaise made this a great light meal to start the weekend. Michael Coleman has been working there for over twenty years and loves his job. One...More

I am planning an Airstream Club luncheon during our International Rally that will take place at the Fairground the last week of June 2016. I need seating for approximately 150 people with enough space to conduct an induction ceremony for our new Region officers. Can you handle something like that.

I do not believe the General Lewis Inn would be large enough. From our visit, I'd suggest the Greenbrier in White Sulpher Springs, only 10 miles away.

We serve contemporary Southern cuisine, in a farm to table format. We believe that excellent food should taste excellent.
