The omelette was good, but the biscuit was hard. The sausage was overcooked. I wish we could have had breakfast outside as the weather was beautiful. The front porch is their best attribute with comfortable rocking chairs.

The menu options are rounded, the good good but the best part is simply the setting. The historical rooms are tastefully decorated and summon the history of the place. I had the eggs Benedict and it was delicious. Breakfast Plates range $15-20.

What a great restaurant! From the minute you walk in you feel like you are in a friend's home and treated like a special guest. The layout was very comfy. The bar had great drinks, the dining room was simple yet elegant, and the food was superb! We sampled at least four appetizers...all delicious! Salad was delicious and the main... More

My mother and I truly enjoyed our brunch on Sunday. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Particularly enjoyed the coffee. My mother's omelet and my Norwegian eggs benedict were scrumptious.

I do feel you should know we ate soon after the flood. Several items could not be served due to delivery problems. The food we ordered was excellent. Our problem was that the service was awful. We had to ask for a menu, then for their specials. He did not know how to check to see if we needed anything.... More

We are local and have been to their restaurant a few times over the years. It had great atmosphere and used to be a great place to eat dinner. We had not been here since it changed hands 2 or 3 years ago so decided to try it with a group of friends........big mistake. There were four couples and at... More

We ate here 4 years ago, and heard that new owners had taken over the General Lewis Inn & Restaurant. I had read other TA reviews, many were good, some not, so we decided to try it for ourselves. The new owners have definitely freshened up the Inn, the outside areas look great. They have added a bar, but since... More

This historic Inn has a new back patio, and GREAT food too! Purchased a few years ago by an inventive couple, and they are making it great with a new bar area, gift shop, wedding arbor and spectacular outdoor patio. Try it all out. Tip #1 Enjoy the yummy personal corn bread in a mini cast iron skillet....so cute. Tip... More

Not often we've made an effort to return before breakfast service ends for another visit, but the staff and new management have succeeded by these presents.

Unless you have several hours for breakfast/brunch you may want to go find another place and for whatever reason requesting separate checks throws the wait staff into chaos. The first morning I was there it took me 45 minutes to get an English muffin and cup of hot tea to take back to my room for my ill husband. Gave... More
