A 5 Star Night! We are locals and eat here 8-10 times per year. The 4 Star overall is a little low IMO. Owner is always on site and food is always good to great. The best draft and bourbon selections in the area.
Tonight’s...salmon and the chicken and bacon flat bread were both 10’s. And the RED VELVET cheese cake were outstanding! Service by Hannah, was also a 10. This is a locally owned and operated restaurant. Never had less than a 4 star experience but tonight was a 5 Star! If you like local you will appreciate Fairways.More
I ordered a pasta dish that was described in the menu as angel hair pasta. When the dish came out it was regular spaghetti not angel hair. When I questioned the server she said “oh that’s the same thing.” I explained to her i knew...it wasn’t because angel hair is the only thing I order and I certainly know the difference. She knew I was very displeased but there was no offer to take it back and get something else. I didn’t want to send it back at that point because the wait to get our food was lengthy to begin with. The guy sitting beside me overheard my conversation with the server and said he ordered the same thing and was very disappointed. The menu said angel hair, the server knew I was unhappy and she did nothing about it. The owner was at another table 4 feet away but she never approached him. This may seem like a small thing but when you go out you expect a dish to be served as advertised.
Then for the server to play it off was just an added disappointment. We won’t recommend this restaurant or go back.More
A great place for bland overpriced food. Stay away!!!!
Hummus had no flavor. Shrimp and grits reminded me of kindergarten paste. The gyro had more veggies than meat and resembled an Oscar Mayer lunchable. Mundane cafeteria food. The bourbon flight reminded me of a plane...that has crashed. Each expression was a sip at best at a price of $48. The Greek salad had little feta and appeared to be a creamy Italian dressing.
The bright spot? Attentive and friendly waitress.
Hate to say it ... a $140 bill for Walmart quality cuisine is is not a blue light special.More
This was a great lunch stop passing through the area. We had the Santa Fe chicken salad, Buffalo wrap, and Caprese Sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and there was a great selection of craft beer on-tap.
My wife and I have visited Fairways on two separate occasions. I never feel it’s fair to judge a place on one visit. With that being said, we feel this place is average at best. Both times we have gone, we sat at the bar....It’s a small place, with an odd atmosphere to be honest. It has a small sports bar feel with a menu that has a Greek flair to it. Both times we have been, we have been served by someone new, that was uneducated on the beers they had on tap as well as the menu overall. Pretty frustrating. On our first visit I had the Cajun chicken pasta and my wife had the spicy ravioli I believe. Both were good. The second visit my wife had the beef gyro and I had the ahi tuna tacos. Both were just ok. The tacos were bland with little flavor. The bill for our second visit which included: one beer, one app (pretzels and cheese), beef gyro and ahi tacos was nearly $50. Way overpriced for this place to be honest. We gave it a couple shots but we won’t be back.More
Went for dinner with our family. Had pretzel appetizer and the calamari. Great way to start a meal. Menu has something for everyone. I had the fish and chips. Huge portions! Waitress was very attentive to our needs, mad several stops during our meal.
