Hole in the wall neighborhood place. It was very busy with no seating available. So thankfully we did takeout. We got the Trio for one person to split. Clam strips, deviled crab, fried shrimp with fried zucchini, parsley potatoes, side salad and hush puppies. It...was enough to feed two people without having leftovers. Everything was delicious and fresh. We were very pleased to get such a good meal. The service was good.More

I recently tried out this restaurant and can’t give it a good rating. First of all, the atmosphere inside is dark and dingy and the tables and seats need real attention. I tried the rainbow trout which was to be blackened. It was nothing special....No real seasoning other than salt and pepper and I found it to be very Bland. I ordered a salad and fried green tomatoes as my sides. The salad was mediocre at best and could have been better. I ordered the Greek vinaigrette which again had little to no seasoning or flavor to it. The fried green tomatoes would have been awesome if it was seasoned properly, otherwise OVERALL BLAND MEAL…This place is over rated and needs special attention to Seasonings. I also had an upset stomach after this meal. Needless to say, I will not ever be back.More

This is a small place located in a downtown area surrounded by other restaurants. I was interested in seafood and was not disappointed. The menu had lots of choices and was reasonably priced, the wait staff was great and service was quick. We left full...and happy.More

We were seated promptly when we arrived. The waitress Sarah was on top of her game as a server. she took our drink order and delivered them in a very timely manner. Once we placed our order of Large shrimp dinner and Trout dinner, it...was served hot and in a reasonable time. She made sure our drinks did not go empty before asking if we wanted more. Highly recommend this business.More

You walk into this little restaurant tucked away in downtown Huntington and it looks like a diner where time has stood still. Don't let the place fool you - the food was fantastic! Our server was very friendly and attentive. She brought us a bowl...of hushpuppies with our drinks. They were herby, fluffy, perfect. We got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were juicy with a light seasoned crust - again perfection and a really good sized portion. We had fish and chips, a shrimp po'boy and fries. Everything was lightly fried in a tasty seasoned coating. The fish was fresh. Not a hint of greasiness. Really, really great food! Do not hesitate to eat here. We will be back!More

We were traveling cross country and had plans to stay overnight in Charleston, WV. We decided to stop at this little local gem for a break from the routine road food experience and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. The location is easy to get...to, the neighborhood interesting and the restaurant unique. It’s a seafood market, so you know the fish is fresh. And the variety of choices were huge. I had walleye, which, living on the east coast is a rarity. My husband had fish and chips which he thoroughly enjoyed. They even had a German beer special, which was delightful.More

We had not been to jewel city in many months. We decided to go for Valentine’s Day. Service was pretty good. We went after the actual Holiday midweek but it was very slow service. But our biggest issue was the expense. For the amount of...food we received we could have bought a weeks worth of groceries for an entire family. Very expensive for what we got. My spouse said they were still hungry when we left. It was good but not worth it. Definitely will be a once in a great while treat for us.More

Best Seafood in the tri-state area. We eat here about once a month. Everything is always so fresh. I really love their shrimp and the hole in the wall atmosphere really makes it a nice little place to eat.

We ordered take out and sides on a Friday evening. Though the young man who took the order had me repeat it a couple of times, he got it mainly correct. We didn’t find available parking so we did a drive around while one of...our party braved the crowd outside to get the order. We should have checked it, but didn’t until we got home. The salmon and whitefish prepared blackened was delicious. The lobster tails were over steamed and chewy. Everyone enjoyed the hush puppies, but the sides were not okay. The salad (we ordered 2 and only got one) was iceberg lettuce-not even a carrot shred for color. The premium side (2 dollars extra) fried green tomatoes were edible but lacked freshness and flavor. The red beans and rice appeared to be rice with canned kidney beans poured on top-zero favoring. The baked potato had no topping-expected butter and sour cream on the side at least. The parslied red potatoes were tender and had a lot of butter and parsley. Overall at over 100 dollars for three meals and two extra sides-this place is likely a miss for pick up again.More

This was my second dine-in experience since March 2020. Felt very comfortable with their precautions. Had the large grilled shrimp with red beans and beans and tomatoes. The shrimp were good, the red beans were better, and the green beans and tomatoes were excellent. The...whitefish looked good and service was also good. This was a “Good”Experience and would return.More

Very nice atmosphere. The restaurant was very clean and the staff attentive. Each of us got different entrees and sides, and then we shared to compare. We each had our favorites, but everything was fresh and tasty! Definitely recommend.

We went there on a slow rainy Wednesday afternoon. The restaurant was clean and social distancing was practiced. I have mobility issues and unfortunately we were seated at the table furthest from the door. Our server was very nice and really took care of us....It was Veterans Day and a basic meal was complimentary of to veterans. I wanted a little more so I ordered a combination platter. My sides were perfect. I had red beans and rice. I also had parsleyed potatoes that were simply outstanding. My seafood platter was just OK. I'm not a big fan of fried seafood.all in all, a very good experience.More

This is a small seafood restaurant/retail establishment. It is definitely low key as far as ambiance is concerned but we liked it. It smells like seafood so if that offends you, take a hard pass. Our waitress was new. She was very sweet, and she...tried really hard so kudos to her. The merlot wine was surprisingly good so don't be afraid. They automatically bring you hush puppies with honey butter. They were delicious! We had the large steamed shrimp with collard greens and buttered red potatoes. The sides were pretty darn good. The large shrimp was considerably small by the time it was steamed. It was also overcooked so the shrimp was dry and chewy. That was really disappointing. We wanted seafood so we ate it anyway. They have a good price on the jumbo crab meat but sadly (for me) it is from Asia. So, if you are concerned about where they source the seafood definitely ask. We were just passing through so it is unlikely we would have the opportunity to return. Hint: We found that after 5:00 pm you don't have to pay for street parking.More

I'm pretty confident they have all kinds of seafood to purchase to take home. Like a fish market if you will.
