I rated Black Sheep 5 stars a long time ago, but I've never written an actual review. I am originally from Ohio and lived in Huntington for several months before moving back north. The one thing that I miss the most about WV is this restaurant! I've visited countless times, and it seems to get better almost every time. Several... More

The brisket burrito was delicious. The slaw added a nice tangy flavor. They smoke the meat there. Chicken quesadilla was ok, but should have gone for the brisket. Brunch selections I saw looked good with hearty portions. Good selection of beer both on tap and canned - even PBR. Good location. Would definitely go again.

Nice little restaurant close to Marshall University. Casual atmosphere typical of many college towns. The food and service have been excellent every trip here. Try the Honey Nut Cheerio chicken and waffles. Good variety of dishes.

Considering that one of the items we ordered was a "Thai burrito," it is hard to call this Mexican or Tex-Mex. Although you can get traditional burritos and tacos, Black Sheep Burrito offers so much more. We really enjoyed the Thai burrito and also ordered a "flock of tacos" - all vegetarian, with interesting, tasty options such as tempura-fried avocado.... More

This corner restaurant is right across the street from the Marshall University campus. That said, there weren't many college kids in there when I visited. They serve a nice cross section of craft brews from all over, including the fare from Charleston Brewing Co. Turnover is slower than some other places, but at least the selections aren't etched in stone.... More

I love their food it's amazing. Had the worst service I've ever had in my life. Only time I considered not tipping my waiter. Saw him once, never refilled our drinks. Once he brought us the check he stopped by our table multiple times.

This is one of my daughter's, a Marshall University student, favorite restaurants so we frequent it often when we have lunch together. It has a very cool college town vibe with delicious, eccentric foods. I try something different everytime and I've never been disappointed. My daughter usually sticks with her "best BLT I've ever eaten" and is superbly satisfied. The... More

We enjoyed our meal. This was a very different meal. The choices were all different with various levels of heat. The atmosphere was very friendly with an open microphone venue. We enjoyed our meal and would return if in the area.

We absolutely love this place. The nachos are heavenly, blueberry BBQ brisket is super tasty, California tuna is phenomenal, love the fermented food additions like Kim Chee and carrot daikon relish. Very hip setting unless you get stuck in the extra seating area. Brunch is fairly good too, but we prefer the regular menu.

Went here on a Friday evening at about 5:30 with a group of 6. Walked right in and got a table. Server was friendly, brought us drinks quickly, answered a few questions about some of the menu items. The burrito selection is impressive and eclectic, there's something for everyone unless you're looking for a traditional mexican burrito. The beer selection... More
