You must wear a mask to get inside. Once you get to your table, mask off. my husband ordered a Black and Tan but they were out of Yingling so settled for a bud light. We both ordered dinners that came with a salad. The...lettuce was crisp and chilled and was very good with a homemade French dressing. Hubby ordered a steak medium rare and I ordered the almond crusted salmon. We were not in any big hurry and yet the waitress stopped by our table to explain that the salmon was a very thick slice and took time to cook through. Later she stopped again to tell us that the salmon patty stuck to the grill and a part fell off. Long story short, the salmon was way over cooked and very dry. The steak my husband ordered was cooked medium rare just the way he liked it. The baked potatoes were perfect with ample sour cream and butter. The bread was just a half of a sandwich bun, not very impressive. Our waitress was extremely attentive filling my water glass and clearing our plates. We tipped her appropriately. Order the steak well worth it. Place if family friendly.More
We were with a group of six who had a hankering for a steak dinner. We all ordered at the same time and food came out at different times.
The food was average and came out room temperature. The portions were plentiful. One member of...the group's steak was overdone but cool and he asked to have another steak. The waitress apologized and said the cook was new and learning. We kept inquiring about the steak. The waitress kept assuring it was on it's way. It never came out. Come to find out the waitress never alerted the cook to put in another order. The manager came out to make it right by not charging the party for his meal and applied a discount on the check. She apologized and said the cook was new.More
We hit Dukes' for dinner and had steak of course. The steaks were cooked spot on - exactly as described in the menu. We had the seasoned steaks which were very mildly seasoned with garlic, salt and pepper. The steaks had a nice layer of...fat on one side which of course adds to the flavor but subtracts from the quantity of meat! The baked potato was done to perfection. Real butter I think. Salad was also good. Fast and friendly service. Prices were fair but you could serve 3-4 people for the same price at home. Overall OK/good but nothing exceptional.More
Dukes has relocated a few times but has been in it's current location for several years now. We have followed them from place to place and this one is by far the best! Food is usually very good and no matter what we order we...ALWAYS get the french fries! Maybe not the best thing for your diet but you won't forget the taste! Food portions are plentiful but not outrageous! Lots of parking and located in a very convenient location. We always eat at Duke's when we are in the Elkins area.More
