While staying in Canaan Valley we stopped by Amelia's for lunch. The waitress was very attentive as soon as we walked in. I highly recommend the club sandwich, my wife got a chicken Caesar salad that she is still raving about and the zucchini strips were both to our liking . With the limited number of choices for dining in... More

great breakfast, ham, croissant, cinnamon french toast and we took a home made cinnamon roll home and my daughter loved it. No fake eggs here, and this is real home cooking. We are coming back next year and I plan on eating breakfast here every day. Also the wait staff and ladies that cooked were very friendly. It felt so... More

We ate at Amelia's on a Friday evening. When we got there, there was a single diner in the restaurant and he was already eating. Another party of six came in right behind us. So , it was not a large crowd. Our server, who was the only person there except for the kitchen staff took our order promptly, bringing our... More

On a rainy night, this was not the easiest place to find. But it is in the same bldg as the Windwood Fly-in Resort. The trip was worth it. The price was about right. The meal was not average. Homemade dinner rolls to start were excellent. The veggie of the day was asparagus. We had it grilled. It also was... More

Yes, the hotel and restaurant were planned to front on the flyin/out airstrip in Canaan Valley. Canaan Valley is home to some very expensive second home real estate purposed for winter sports and other. We did encounter the airstrip stop sign prior to lunch at Amelia's. The restaurant provides up close views of the air strip, Canaan Valley skiing, and... More

Crab cakes were very good but expensive. Stir fry chicken was overcooked. One of the few restaurants in the area, but even so we would not return.

Everything from the French Toast, pancakes, gravy & biscuits were great for breakfast! We had a large party of 8 and there was plenty of seating with a beautiful view of the airstrip. Service was friendly and paced well. I can't wait to go back for dinner sometime!

After vacationing in Old Timberline in Canaan Valley for the last 6 summers, we decided to try a different restaurant than our usual. We saw the Amelias sign on 32 and thought we'd try it around 7:30 one evening. We were all (family of 4 adults...2 young adults and 2 over 50) pleasantly surprised. The dining room is simple and...
