The meal was just okay, salad was good but the steak had no taste. The place looked old and run down, like it had been there for years, but not fixed up at all. I do not reccomend this place to anyone.

First of all, I had this place confused with another restaurant with a similar same. My mistake. This was nothing like what I was looking for. I ate here anyway since I didn't find the other restaurant. Alos, originally I was looking for another place...that was on my GPS but was not around here. Who knows! I settled on Texas Steakhouse. Service was slow. I had rolls at the table and had eaten two of them before I got my drink. I was hungry and waited awhile. Finally my order was taken which was the taste of Texas. The Taste of Texas was shrimp, ribs and chicken strips plus I got a baked sweet potato. Well, when it finally came it wasn't like Texas I can tell you.The shrimp were small frozen shrimp that were OK but, not that special. The ribs were OK. The chicken strips were average. They had too much batter on them. The baked sweet potato was not hot enough to melt all of the butter. It was kind of luke warm. The rolls were actually better than the potato. The restaurant is not very clean. I was not impressed. Next time I will be sure to find the steakhouse I was originally looking for. I will not return here.More

Stopped at the restaurant while traveling home. Very slow time for the establishment. We were Blessed with an excellent service (Calvin) who checked us often and saw that we had everything we needed to enjoy the meal. Ribeye sandwich was great and done to my...exact description. Good experience and will definitely return.More

Remember all those times you said, "It could be worse"? This is that "worse" place! I can only assume that there is no restaurant inspection in Charleston, WV. I would not have gone beyond the grimy front door if I had not had someone inside...waiting for lunch. Service was slow and haphazard. Staff looked like they had come in from yard work. Napkin, utensils, and bread plates were all dirty with dried-on food debris! Topped the experience off with a horrifying trip to the restroom. Spare yourself!More

Walking distance to my Hotel EconoLodge- Server was Excellent, She was friendly and funny. Plus, she checked on us several times. Steak was so good, I did not use steak sauce. The taste and the way I wanted it cooked was perfect. I would recommend.More

Where do I start? How about a list? Long wait to be seated yet only half full. Hostess' clothes were dirty. Table was sticky, Chairs were not clean. Waitress never brought napkins or refilled drinks. Ribs were COLD to the bone. French fries cold. Salad...was warm and dripping with water. Blooming onion was inedible, greasy with freezer burn. Asparagas arrived 20 minutes after the meal and it stunk. Asked for more napkins 3 times and finally went and got them myself. Totally disgusted. Went home and got sick. CLOSE IT DOWN. We tried to be pleasant but this place was a joke.More

I was staying across the street and thought I could get a quick good take out meal from here. Was I ever disappointed. Luckily I check the order and found it incorrect and had to re-order. Unfortunately while I was waiting this was one of...the dirtiest mid scale restaurants I have ever seen. I can only imagine what the kitchen was like.More

Our server was at a disadvantage because there were screaming kids running around and we DIDN'T want to be ANYTHERE near them so we sat in the bar. So it was out of his line of sight. He was very attentive and I'm a bartender...so all he had to do was get us a few beers and lunch while we were on our way out of town. Hubby enjoyed his tenders but my salad was horrible. It was all white pieces, I asked for NO tomatoes or cucumbers and I got BOTH AND I asked for medium rare steak and got chunks of brown things. I picked them out. Kitchen staff really needs to start READING the tickets. I had server read back my order twice to make sure HE got it right so it's the KITCHEN staff who needs training. $40 for lunch which was a complete disappointment.More

I wish I had timed how long it took to have our order taken and how long it was before the food actually came, how long it took to get a water refill, and how long it took to get a replacement for a dirty...knife. Suffice it to say that the long wait for service ruined the dining experience. It surely was at least 45 minutes before we were served. My wife described the Country Fried Chicken as "awful." I had the seafood combo with fried catfish and crab cake. The crab cake was good, but the catfish was dripping in grease. Also, we were seated next a loud group of people celebrating a birthday. It was the worst dining experience on our 4-week trip across the country.More
