This place has a wonderful atmosphere, especially if you like wooden boats or VW's. Turns out we like both; but we particularly like the food. We stay at the motel next door so we can eat at this eclectic restaurant. We had a superb pizza for dinner and cold beer. The menu has reduced primarily to pizza, which is delicious.... More

We loved the retro decor - right out of the eighties. The pizza was very good. Service was attentive. We didn't drink, but there was a full bar. If we weren't so tired, it would have been fun to have a few cocktails since we were staying at the motel next door and were walking back to our room. We... More

Just walked over from the motel next door for a nightcap after working late. Nice full service bar in rear dining area. Friendly staff and patrons. Not very crowded on a Friday night with no games on TV. Closes at 11:00 PM.

Do not forget to order their chips. Cooked on site. Should be bagged for sale. One meal was shrimp and shrimp this good from this far from the ocean is hard to believe. The Kimberling chicken is chicken, onions and mushrooms. Not rocket science but what they do in the kitchen is amazing. Be prepared to dine in the company... More

I started eating there about 10 years ago and have never had a bad meal, yes the waitresses need to cover up a bit sometimes but they are always friendly and I always get what I ask for. I like it even if it is a dive bar and my friends threw my 50th birthday party in the back room... More

I just recently started going to eat at the Anchor, but my friends go there just about every Friday and ask for Chasidy. The food is great but the service has to be just as great, and if it wasn't for the great service of our server we wouldn't come back. My husband and I had went to eat there... More

Actually, I'm being kind on calling the decor dated. This restaurant is so contradictory in every way. It appears to be a run down diner. It looks like they decorated it in the '60's, locked the door, & just opened back up. If I wasn't local & hadn't heard everyone raving about the food, I would have left after getting... More

Stopped for a late lunch while driving I-64. Picked this restaurant based on TA recommendations and proximity. A little dubious at first since there were so few people there, but it was afternoon on a weekday. The service was friendly and attentive. The specialty of the house is tomato pie and looked interesting but we chose sandwiches and they were... More
