During COVID they are open and offering a set menu (with choice if entree) for $85 a person. 4 courses - salad, soup, main & dessert. The food was amazing from start to finish. Fresh and perfect. I had the filet and my husband had...the scallops. Both impeccable. I am more blown away by the wine pairing. At first I paused at $75.. but it was worth every penny. Their som managed to pair grainy mustard and a sparkling in the cheese dessert course that was delightful. We live 5 hours away and are planning our next visit.More

Excellently prepared food from the chef, both at dinner and breakfast. Service was very good and drinks were good also.

Thanks so much for your 5-star review!

We did the four courses plus chef selection. We found interesting ingredient combinations, and a lot of care paid to the dishes. We also had breakfast here as we were staying at the inn and enjoyed those meals as well.More

The food was very delicious but pricey. We had the light fare which included two starters, an entree, and dessert. You can also choose wine pairings with each one for additional price. Without alcohol, our bill was $180.00. Breakfast is included with the room with...the exception of gratuity. It was also very delicious. I greatly appreciate the chef(s) attention to detail when it came to my gf dietary restriction. I usually have to worry about contamination but not here. Overall, all the meals were presented beautifully and very tast.More

Just a few days ago I wrote what I intended to be a glowing review of the restaurant at the Hillbrook Inn. Glorious venue inside and out. Fabulous foods presented in a way that makes you feel guilty eating and disturbing the beauty of the...plate, BUT food so good you'd shoot yourself if you failed to lick the plate clean. Marvelous service. Good wine list. My only negative -- if you could cal it that -- was TripAdvisor's failure to list Hillbrook Inn as a hotel AND, separately, as a restaurant. I was wrong. The restaurant has its own name -- Redbook -- and, I must say, it is just as delightful as the Hillbrook Inn restaurant in every respect (even though some of the patrons of the former tend to be dummies at times!).More

We both ordered the four course menu. Each dish was delicious. As is common with a prixe fixe, multi course menu, the servings were just exactly large enough so that we felt satisfied but not uncomfortably full after our meal. It would have been nice...to include coffee with the dessert offerings.More

Thank you for your review and compliments! We apologize if you were not offered coffee with dessert, but that is something we most certainly have available. We hope to welcome you back another time soon!

We were staying at the Inn, so went to the restaurant for dinner. We did the Prix Fixe dinner with wine pairing, and loved it. Gorgeous dining room, and great service as well.

Writing a review on a property where you once served as a General Manager can be daunting. Having a love and admiration for the owners and being their guest at dinner is not only a luxury, it's a bit daunting. The Inn has gone through...a good bit of enhancement and updating since I was employed. The character is still warm, inviting and truly welcoming. I am a great critic and not given to hyperbole. So, this review is important to me. We were seated at a lovely table (no surprise) and the service team were prompt, efficient and helpful. The new stemware and linens were lovely, polished, pressed and as they should have been. The menu has changed and moved from the set menu to one with more options. This is a wonderful shift. The choices were thoughtful, seasonal and gave me a moment of pause as I tried to determine which ones to sample. Our server was well educated in regard to wine...offered us several samples and made very informed suggestions to accompany our selections for dinner. I quite like the little cast iron pans of cornbread. They were served hot and the taste was pleasing. I wish they were a bit deeper...still, a nice start to the experience. The beet salad and carrot medley were artfully and tastefully prepared. I loved the contrast of textures and the simple, not overly dressed greens on both. Fresh, seasonal and a perfect start to the meal. The highlight of the meal was the filet of black cod. Rarely do you get a piece of perfectly cooked fish...meaning perfect. This one...perfect. It literally melted in the mouth. The rich potato broth and tiny root vegetable pieces complemented it perfectly. I am not sure when I enjoyed a piece of fish so much. The portion sizes were great and we were all incredibly sated at the end. Being a guest at a place where you worked to instill excellence...finding excellence and a sense of place...well...that's special. Everyone should dine at Hillbrook. It's a treasure.More

For dinner, we had the 5 course meal and included the wine tasting, where they pair wine with each course of the meal. I had the lamb for the main course and it was really good. I can't remember the names of the wines, but...they went well with the food. Just one caution: be prepared to spend. You will easily top $300, but it was worth it. Breakfast also very good.More
