Tony and I had dinner tonight at the Angus and Ale. First let me say they won our business by default...they are located in the same parking lot as our hotel. We had to wait to be seated because they were understaffed. Their hours are...only 4-8pm...so not a lot of wiggle room there. We ordered Half/Half Tea with lemon and lime and he got a Budweiser. He decided to get the Steamed Shrimp in Old Bay Seasoning, Green Beans and sweet potato fries. I went light a cup of their Stuffed Pepper Soup and side salad. They brought us a bucket of hot rolls with side of butter and Homemade Apple Butter....very good by the way!!! The apple butter that is!!!! I loved my soup and waitress very attentive and kept me in tea refills. Not crazy about the salad...but it was exactly what I ordered Side Salad...with 1000 Island Dressing. Tony loved his steamed shrimp but the green beans and sweet potato fries were not so good!!! I wouldn't have to go back but Hey Good News, your experience might be better than mine!! Thanks for letting me voice my opinion.More

Good service, delicious cornbread. Everything else was pretty lousy. My husband’s prime rib was acceptable, but the ribs my son and I ordered were awful, tasting as if they had been sitting on a steam table for hours in ridiculously thick bbq sauce. And the...fries had clearly been reheated—they were hard as wood, inedible. Disappointed.More

The food was good, but was disappointing to not be able to try any local WV beer. Great meet variety of different cuts of meet dishes. Why does this establishment not have any beer from Berkeley Springs Brewery?

We always stay at the Sure Stay Best Western nearby because we know we can walk right next door to this little gem. The staff are always friendly and the food is always fresh and yummy! Awesome ribs, hubby always gets the Rancher steak, veggies...always fresh and yummy cornbread served with apple butter. We have never had a bad meal here in the many years coming and we are thru here about 3 times a year. Well worth the stop.More

Average food at an average WV restaurant / bar. The only standout thing was the rattlesnake bites. Limited tap selections left me with the go to of all time: Yuengling!Wife had NYStrip and I had the “homemade” crab cakes with fried green beans. The steak...was cooked as ordered along with garlic green beans and baked potato. My crab cakes were ok but it truly doubt they were homemade and were eerily similar to store bought frozen knock offs. My fried green beans were mass produced dipped in some cheap batter mix and fried in the deep fryer. Some things we talked about as we waited forever for our food was: very dated appearance that was dark and dreary, our waitress was very friendly and attentive offering no less than 4 apologies as we waited for our supper. As a kind gesture complimentary fried cheesecake for the delay. Thankfully it was free because I would hate to think I paid for it. Having lived in the area all our lives we would find it to be average. Here is some advice headed south eat in Winchester or north Hagerstown east Kings in Hedgesville west D’Atri’s in Cumberland. All are between 30-45 minutes and offer much better food, probably not better service…More

This place is great!! We were staying at Cacapon State Park and needed to find a place to watch a sports game that was on the tv in the afternoon. They were so welcoming and we enjoyed a variety of appetizers. We came back the...next day to finish watching the series and they had the bar TV on the game as they knew we were coming back. The dinners we ate that night were wonderful. Can’t say enough about how much we appreciated and enjoyed this restaurant!More

We stopped in Berkley Springs after a long drive. Had burgers and fries from Angus & Ale next to our hotel. Prices were reasonable, food was delicious. Worth the money. The guy we picked up the food from had a mix-up with our order but...it was straightened out with little fanfare.More

We stopped in for lunch to start our Berkeley Springs getaway. The menu had a lot of options and we thought the food was tasty: boneless wings, steak, land and sea burger and chicken sandwich, and hand cut fries. We waited over an hour for...our food and our server was not very attentive and couldn’t answer a few simple questions we had about the menu without asking someone else.More

Started with the alligator bites which were fantastic. The ranch that comes with it is very good. Corn bread was probably my favorite and my burger was delicious.

Decent food, although the menu leans heavily toward deep-fried. Friendly and reasonably efficient service. Great prices--dinner for two was $40 before tip.

This was quite a change of venues for us. We started out with fried alligator bites. And we really enjoyed them. The burgers were great cooked to perfection. We had the portobello fries and they were deep-fried but yummy. My husband had the Mason Dixon...burger. It had a wedge of corn bread and deep fried bacon, with barbecue sauce. Our waitress was fabulous. Tables were spaced safely for Covid. Our waitress kept her mask on the entire time serving us. The music was country western. We really enjoyed ourselves.More
