So good great fries shakes and most importantly the big miner which is enough to feed two people. Love it I would eat again

Miner's Drive-In is a must stop, especially if you have not been there. It is as close as you are going to get to an old fashioned drive-in in this day & age. Food is good, soda fountain is great & prices are reasonable. They...get extremely busy around lunch time & it is worth the wait. A great experience in this day of drive-in fast foods & one that you should share with your children. My son is 51 years old & still stops there with his children & grandchildren. It's a tradition.More
46 Years of tradition (43 years of personal experience for me) Miner’s was as much a part of my young adulthood in the late 70’s and the 80’s as was the greatest generation of music in those years. Late night stops after ‘the game’.. segued...into ‘some food to counter-balance the underaged alcohol consumption on the way home from ‘cruising the ave’ back in the day. Food was always consistent as was the unsolicited flirting with the late night staff. (Hi Lottie…) Miner burger, no onions, crispy fries, extra, extra extra thick vanilla shake with a medium root beer along side…. Great food, fun atmosphere and two decades before the remodel. In these past 10+ years, seems the old guard / management have successfully retired and left day to day operations to others. Yes, the business volume is there, but the atmosphere and efficiencies have fallen off. Just this weekend…. Called in an order, 15 minutes out from arrival, arrived at the drive up as directed to, waited 12 minutes to be acknowledged (after calling back in to alert them we were in the drive thru)… Numerous staff, milling about, horseplay visible through the window. Waited an additional 7 minutes before another, “inquiry of foods whereabouts” ….. only to be told “the extra crispy fries, take longer”… btw, might of been 8 total people in the entire place.. 35 total minutes to get our food, complete with ATTITUDE…. STILL GREAT! Burger / Fries / Shake… all reminiscent of yesteryear, just missing something….oh I know… service and timeliness…More
I went with my softball team. The food tasted good, but we had to wait 25-30 minutes just to get our food. We weren’t the only waiting, there were people who had been waiting for over an hour until they got their food.
Seriously, the Miner Berger is giant and GOOD - consider spliting it! The frys and great and the portion is in keeping with the berger. We had lunch and didn't't need dinner!
A little bit of a line due to basketball teams but my food was delivered to my table about 5 minutes later. My burger was hot, juicy & tasty. I didn't eat the bottom bun because I would be too full, It was all as...yummy as remember from years ago.More
Meal was cooked after we ordered, food was brought out to our table, and the taste was excellent, what more can you ask for? Highly recommend.
On a recent trip to Yakima, we were looking for a place to eat lunch before rafting the Tieton. Miner's came up as a top recommended place so we decided to try it out. Even chose to go 15min the opposite direction we were headed!...Kids loved the drive-thru experience and thought it was neat to order from the passengers side. Burger was huge and tasty. Daughter raved about the tator-tots although she didn't care too much for the chicken strip breading. I loved the Pina Colada Freezes with pieces of pineapple and coconut mixed in. Yum! Was a little bit of a wait for our order, but not too bad. They were pretty busy. Definitely a great start to our vacation day.More
The berry shake was one of the best I have had. The burger and BBQ beef sandwich were good. The fries were nice. The potato salad wasn't my favorite. There was a slight wait for the food even though it wasn't busy. All in all...I would stop by again if I was in the area but I wouldn't go too far out of my way.More
Took over an hour for a small order. Ordered a cheeseburger, chicken dinner, drink and shake. Table next to us only had to wait 10 minutes for their order. Ask the server why they got their food so quick while we had been waiting for...an hour and was told their was no system for servicing food in the order it was received. I went to the front and spoke to the gentleman in charge. He had no answers. Horrible service!More
This place not only has large proportions but their burger are the biggest I've ever in my 46 years of life, have ever seen!.. It was so dang YUMMY!!!! IF YOUR EVER IN YAKIMA AND ABLE TO GO THERE, THEN DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND...GO GET A BURGER AND CURLY FRIES!!!!More
My favorite fast food type restaurant. Although, it’s not really fast. But the food has gigantic portions and the quality is really good. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, french fries, all the greasy goodness you would expect and much better than any chain. If you...come to Yakima you must check out Miners!More
This was a recommendation from a customer. I have read some complaints about the prices but I honestly think it’s well worth. The burgers are enormous. Good sloppy burgers too. Shoe string fries are great. The counter staff seems very much about getting you in...and out so they weren’t very pleasant. But I get it. It was the lunch rush. Definitely worth stopping off at this place.More
Love Miner’s burgers and fries! They use very fresh ingredients. Staff is helpful and friendly and the restaurant is very clean.
January 17th 2021: This afternoon my boyfriend and I visited Miners Drive-In, we wanted to order a combo meal we were informed they no longer have combos so we ordered a cheeseburger deluxe had to pay $0.50 extra for the cheese and $0.50 extra for...a tomato slice (the burgers are the size of a dinner plate), we also ordered a small fry we were informed that a small fry will feed three to four people and a medium root beer the order was $16.62 which in my opinion is ridiculously overpriced the cheeseburger was amazingly good the french fries were way overcooked and hard and they were shoestring french fries which we do not like the root beer did not taste like root beer we were very very disappointed in the fries, the root beer we will not be going back if you want a good burger peppermint stick is a wonderful place to eat food is fantastic prices are affordable peppermint stick is so much better than Miners both places have been in business for about the same amount of time I do not give Miners a high rating only scale of a one to five service gets a 5 hamburger gets a five french fries they get a zero my root beer gets a one the root beer was not mixed properly. If you're planning a trip to Yakima I strongly suggest the peppermint stick driving you will not be disappointed.More
