We were there tonight and ordered a bacon bleu burger, fries, and grilled chicken sandwich. We requested no onion/tomatoes and burger had them but no relish or mayo as requested. Very very little blue cheese crumbles. The guy taking out order said the chicken sandwich had “tartar sauce and relish.” 😲 I think he was confused. Was not impressed with our food.

46 Years of tradition (43 years of personal experience for me) Miner’s was as much a part of my young adulthood in the late 70’s and the 80’s as was the greatest generation of music in those years. Late night stops after ‘the game’.. segued into ‘some food to counter-balance the underaged alcohol consumption on the way home from ‘cruising the ave’ back in the day. Food was always consistent as was the unsolicited flirting with the late night staff. (Hi Lottie…)
Miner burger, no onions, crispy fries, extra, extra extra thick vanilla shake with a medium root beer along side…. Great food, fun atmosphere and two decades before the remodel. In these past 10+ years, seems the old guard / management have successfully retired and left day to day operations to others. Yes, the business volume is there, but the atmosphere and efficiencies have fallen off.
Just this weekend…. Called in an order, 15 minutes out from arrival, arrived at the drive up as directed to, waited 12 minutes to be acknowledged (after calling back in to alert them we were in the drive thru)… Numerous staff, milling about, horseplay visible through the window. Waited an additional 7 minutes before another, “inquiry of foods whereabouts” ….. only to be told “the extra crispy fries, take longer”… btw, might of been 8 total people in the entire place..
35 total minutes to get our food, complete with ATTITUDE…. STILL GREAT! Burger / Fries / Shake… all reminiscent of yesteryear, just missing something….oh I know… service and timeliness…

Minor’s is one of those must see/taste places that used to line highways like “Route 66.” Super large burgers, loaded! Great onion rings too! Extensive menu...(stick to their classic Minor’s Burger), but just know that if you crave the creamy drink of decades past, buttermilk, it is available for your nostalgic enjoyment! Locally owned since...forever. Taste the pride and get in line! Highly recommend this burger joint!

Have been eating here for thirty years.....NO MORE!!
Food has gone down hill and is now so inconsistent that I'm tired of feeling violated and robbed of my hard earned money, 30 bucks for 2 cold shrimp burgers and cold fries after a 45 minute wait.
In the past the food was always great and didn't mind the wait, you always got what you paid for, not now!
If you can get one of the owners to take your order, your food is great, but then again we know them and that I would assume helps. Probably should have called it to their attention but was so pissed off I would have made an ass of myself.
It just seems to me through my observations that most of the employees don't give a rip about how your food is or when you might receive it...... guys outside in the drive through just wander slowly in and out of the place taking orders and money at the pace of a zombie!!
Sorry Miners I'm done, I gave you the benefit of the doubt the first time you started to have troubles about a year or so ago and came back. After numerous visits with poor experiences I'm DONE!!

We love to eat at Miner’s whenever we visit Yakima. Our favorites are the bacon burgers (amazing bacon and lots of it) and the French dip. The service is friendly and efficient even when they’re busy. While visiting over the 4th of July holiday weekend, we were served at the drive-in window by a staff member who was wearing a cloth face mask over her mouth but her nose wasn’t covered. She is in close contact with a steady stream of customers throughout her shift, reaching into cars to take payments and deliver food orders in such a way that her face is just a foot or two away from the customer’s face. Given that Yakima is one of the hardest hit areas in the state of Washington for covid-19 cases and given that food service employees are required to wear masks in the current phase of reopening (1.5), this was concerning. I did call the restaurant and asked to speak with a manager. The girl who answered the phone told me she was “one of” the managers. I shared my concern with her as well as a description of the employee but I felt that it wasn’t really taken seriously. While she thanked me for calling, she failed to reassure me by saying that there would be any form of follow-up or educating of employees. While I strive to support local businesses during the pandemic, it’s hard for me to support those who don’t prioritize the safety of their customers and staff.

Took over an hour for a small order. Ordered a cheeseburger, chicken dinner, drink and shake. Table next to us only had to wait 10 minutes for their order. Ask the server why they got their food so quick while we had been waiting for an hour and was told their was no system for servicing food in the order it was received. I went to the front and spoke to the gentleman in charge. He had no answers. Horrible service!

If your looking for nostalgia in your take out eateries, this is the place. The burgers @ Miners, harken back to when burgers were great, not the cardboard stuff that passes for fast food these days. A variety of burgers, all of them BIG, that you can select the cheese you want on it, ie: American, Pepper Jack & Bleu (our favorite). We get a burger each, and 1 basket of fries to share. One order of fries can easily feed 4-6 people, and they are great! They also have salads, all of which we have tried and loved. There are other sandwiches too, Grilled cheese for our littlest ones, Veggie for the Vegan in our family and BBQ for Gramps. Miners is a Yakima institution, and we know why.

One of the better burger joints you'll ever eat at. I hadn't eaten here in around 40 years until staying the night nearby a few days ago so was wondering if it is still as good as I remembered from "back in the day". It is. Burger was awesome and huge, fries were fresh and tasty and there were a lot of them and the shake was delicious. Be prepared to spend a few coins but you'll get a LOT of food in return.

Having lived in Yakima Wa for 54 years, Miners Drive-In is a must visit. Anyone growing up here will always visit when they’re in town. I highly recommend the fries w/tartar & fry sauce. Always ask for your burger cut in half & probably light on the onions. Delicious!

On a recent trip to Yakima, we were looking for a place to eat lunch before rafting the Tieton. Miner's came up as a top recommended place so we decided to try it out. Even chose to go 15min the opposite direction we were headed!
Kids loved the drive-thru experience and thought it was neat to order from the passengers side.
Burger was huge and tasty. Daughter raved about the tator-tots although she didn't care too much for the chicken strip breading. I loved the Pina Colada Freezes with pieces of pineapple and coconut mixed in. Yum!
Was a little bit of a wait for our order, but not too bad. They were pretty busy. Definitely a great start to our vacation day.

My favorite fast food type restaurant. Although, it’s not really fast. But the food has gigantic portions and the quality is really good. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, french fries, all the greasy goodness you would expect and much better than any chain. If you come to Yakima you must check out Miners!

This was a recommendation from a customer. I have read some complaints about the prices but I honestly think it’s well worth. The burgers are enormous. Good sloppy burgers too. Shoe string fries are great. The counter staff seems very much about getting you in and out so they weren’t very pleasant. But I get it. It was the lunch rush. Definitely worth stopping off at this place.

The quality and amount of food is enormous, well fit for a miner. The veggie burger is huge and full of fresh veggies as well as a veggie patty. Their shoestring fries are delicious and also plentiful. They have a condiment bar with tartar sauce. Bbq sauce, ketchup, and more.
They were busy when we were there. They have indoor seating and to go orders. Great place to eat.

We had to stop as sooo many cars were there. The food was good. The onion rings were especially delicious. The hamburgers were huge - you could definitely share. Worth the stop to try a local legend

We've eaten here before so we new to share a meal. The portions are huge. The food is cheap and delicious. Expect a crowd & a little of a wait. You place your order, take a number & they bring it to you. A must stop if in the area!!!
